Superhero Cinematic Civil War - Part 57

I'm not so sure blockbusters are going to be quite the studio lifeblood they have been in the past. The buzz on an event film may only last a week or two in the Post Pandemic era. Coupled with the ability to quit subscribing at any time (Ending this benefit may go along with significant price increases) and Big Media Conglomerate may only get a one time bump in fees from their Amazon adventure epic.

But a "Must See" series that can entice Joe Meatball and Sally Housecoat to send a check to said Big Media Conglomerate over two or three months? Followed by another, and another, after which time you've got them to part with a year's worth of monthly payments? That's gold, Jerry!

I knew it was only a matter of time for Tony Dalton to get in on one of these big franchises. Just hope his talent's not wasted.

Here’s some good HBO Max-related news for the non-Americans here.

HBO Max Plotting Local International Originals Based On DC Comics IP As WarnerMedia Steps Up Global Rollout Of Streaming Service

This comes as Head of HBO Max Global Andy Forssell revealed that it would start rolling out the HBO Max service in Europe next year, building on its plans to launch mid-year in Latin America.

“We will and need to be a global service. It’s an imperative to achieve scale,” Forssell said. “In the second half of 2021, you’ll see us start to upgrade some of the existing direct to consumer HBO services in Europe to HBO Max, double the content, a lot more capabilities, so by the end of the year both of those regions will be very active. The plan is to be in 190 countries, it’s just how fast can we do that roll-out.”

What happened?
So she posted this pastor guy "just asking questions" about what's really in the Covid vaccine and stuff, then keeps digging her hole about how she's being cancelled for just asking questions and anti-vaxx doctors are being silenced. Also the dude goes off being transphobic in the video she promoted, and there's this weird tweet about the anti-Christ conspiracy posted when the election results came in. More like Letitia Wrong, am I right?

Shut up, it was funny.

First, yes it was funny. :toth

Second. So many people wanted to discussion whether they should recast T'Challa. Didn't see the twist where they were going to have to recast Shuri!

More seriously, I am sure she will still be in the movie. But I think we can forget the idea she will be Black Panther. If they wanted to do that, I think she might have ruined that. God, first Pratt, then Carano and now this. It's all kinds of gross over at Disney right now.

Well, that is unfortunate. Here's hoping someone talks sense into her before she doubles down, making things worse.

In Pratt's defense, at least he is smart enough to try to keep his ****ty conservative views on the down low.

I'm watching Glass again and I don't think it's a bad sequel, but I gotta say it reminds me of that Iron Fist show a bit.

I like Iron Fist, and the second half of Luke Cage's first season.

People will shame her but the US government has used people or more specifically black people as guinea pigs before. I can understand the skepticism
That doesn't really apply here imo. This is one of those situations like when people of color get super anti-Semitic and then use past atrocities to defend the view point. Nor does this cover the transphobia.

Oh Princess Shuri.

That video was something she should’ve have just kept privately and passed along to her close circle of friends. Not the whole Twitter where this is the cancel culture to screw up her Disney checks.

Her PR person needs to keep a better eye on her. I heard people say before that she was a little kooky on Twitter.

I can too. Never forget Tuskegee.
