That finale was idiotic, they killed off Jimmy Olson for Christ's sake.
No, it was brilliant. We need writers like that for the reboot.

Ok, you couldn't really tell he was being sarcastic.
It was nice to see Clark finally square off against Doomsday, makes you wish we could have seen that in the 90's on the big screen done in the right way.

who are we kidding? we already in the last 10 years saw more action in tv-series then smallville.Seriously.
I knew going into that episode that it couldn't be much because of television budget restrictions. But they could have done a little more with it than what they did...like I said such wasted potential.
I will continue to hold out hope the next film (whenever that will be) will give us some awesome Superman action.
Trust me I know other shows seem to pull off action just fine, but for some reason Smallville just doesn't.
By budget I mean any great CGI cars slams, ground shaking stuff. I think their budget would have been just fine to display Clark and Doomsday punching each other though.
But anyway it was ambitious to think they could pull Doomsday off on tv anyway. It did let us catch a brieft glimpse of how cool it would be to see played out on screen--say in a new movie perhaps?
Make her lose her memory of ever meeting Clark after they kill off Chloe.SV needs to stop retconning itself.
Aaron Ashmore's Jimmy was referred to as "James Bartholomew Olsen" before.... and now he's "Henry James Olsen"... conviniently..
Yeah that was a really bad finale for a season that started off well for 10 episodes and turned to crap in a downward spiral right after.
But this show will never end. I can't wait to see how they retcon Lois to fit with the mythos..

I'm not trying to bash you but...
NO MORE VAGUE SEQUELS!!!!
If we can have Batman movies not connected to Burton's Bat-flicks I don't see why we HAVE to follow up Donner/Lester's Superman movies?
you know thats basically right where SR started a sequel to the first II superman films.
Just start with a new continuity
You do have the right to write vague sequels but I for the life of me don't understand why you would want another vague sequel to Donner's flicks??? Are you averse to somebody bringing something totally new to Superman?First, I'll write all the vague sequels I want. I like vague sequels. It allows the audience (me) to fill in the blanks for them (our) selves.
Second, I didn't say "we have to" I said "I want to." Besides, "we"'re not doing anything unless you and I write a spec script together.
Third, if Singer could create a sequel to the older films in spite of the more recent and more profitable Batman series rebooting but ignore the less popular installments in the series; then what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
