Popeye's never looked so hot-or cancerous.
I guess it's the tattoos. You think he should go on the Mr. Potato Head plan and ditch the pipe?
Lol! I love these. t:
I didn't know that the same company that made the fletcher cartoons are the same ones that made Popeye. Hahaha What if Superman had to actually eat Kryptonite to get his super powers? t: Finishing my assist in the digression in this thread; I didn't know they were making a new Popeye cgi movie either. I'll be looking forward to that!
It doesn't matter how strong they make Superman, he will never reach Popeye's level of badassery. Dude once punched a bull so hard it turned into a meat market.
The "real" process unfortunately makes it obvious how much his forearms stick out. I'm pretty sure someone would recomend him to get checked for tumors with forearms like that.
Font and back. I guess he's now the envy of the Tattooed Man.
German arm wrestler
WTF!? Is that real?
How did a topic about Superman's power levels turn into a discussion of Popeye's disgustingly disproportional forearm muscles?
I agree with Fleischer powers, and the quick shot of him getting thrown into the bank vault from the CC footage gives me hope they're going close to that route.
Yes the kids arm is real, he was born with some kind of condition that makes one arm much larger than the other.
Fleischer made both the Superman and Popeye Cartoons around the same time period. The thing is that Fleischer made Popeye more powerful (he could knock people all the way to stars whereas Superman couldn't). I want to see Superhuman more powerful than that.
I love that North tattoo on his neck.
What makes you think that?
Reminds me of the 'Family Guy' Popeye Tumor gag.
But yeah... Superman's power level in Earth One is just fine by me.
That Popeye pic will haunt my dreams.
Fixed. I cited the link to the CraveOnline article that your quote came from to give it more cred.
I wouldn't say that meant Popeye was more powerful, I think it had more to do with his world being more looney tuney.
Oh, wow. I didn't know Genndy was handling a new Popeye movie. That's interesting to hear.
Yeah, this makes sense.
I guess I am going to have to go back and read while there are Popeye pics in a Superman thread!
Earlier I was staring at the the many gifs of Supes flying towards the sky from the teaser and was again very happy with how real it looks.
So I went on the youtube hunt to find more video of other angles I want to have when watching Cavill's Superman fly from a far. And how real it can look if they have the tech to do it... I think they do. It's all about the way they have the sunlight hit him on how real they make it look. That's what I've noticed they have improved on in the graphics and video games to give it a touch of real. And of course, there is always the option of doing it for real... Here's a little example of some amazing shots.
I really want MOS to set the bar when I comes to flying. Especially now that everyone is doing it...
