Lmao Ralph is the dumbest guy to have ever played the game.
Sorry but without question Matt made the dumbest move tonight - he's out of the game.
At least Andrea is still IN game because anything can happen now. Honestly, with the edits thus far this season, I only see Rob or Andrea winning. They're the only ones thus far that has had any sort of complexity to their edits.
Everyone else is too ignored to be winners, or in the case of Philip, too over the top.
The other thing that annoys me about Matt is he won six duels and them back and makes a dumb mistake and gets voted for a second time in one season.
He brought absolutely nothing to the show in general personality nor gamewise and we lost interesting female characters like Fran, Kristina, Stephanie, or heck even Sarita or Krista, who could have shaken up the game and made it a bit more interesting or less predictable.
So worthless.
I didn't like the edit of Special Agent Shepherd's Bushido Code analysis of tonight's duel. I want the full speech unedited, CBS!
I think Phillip has turned the tables in recent weeks. Ometepe laughs at him, but they seem to be enjoying him whereas before the girls couldn't stand him. I feel his words at Tribal endeared him a little to the girls on his tribe.
Now he's wearing the feathered headband next week? Is this guy embracing and playing the bat***** crazy guy to perfection now, or what? Phillip Shepherd has a strategy to win this game!
Wait, you think a player that won six challenges in a row is worthless, yet Sandra the ablsolute worthless player in Survivor history who never won one single challenge and only won last season because more people hated Russell isn't?
Matt may be a dummy and not know how to play the game socially, but he isn't worthless.
He should embrace the Devil on Redemption Island and become the biggest backstabber in Survivor history.![]()
As Probst has mentioned on his blog, Philip honestly believes what he says, but he has fun with it. I think the real Phil gets out every now and then, but for the most part he plays it with a twinkle in his eye.
If they had just voted out Steve, Matt still could have flipped and convinced Andrea at a later time and Ometepe would have been screwed anyway.
I think it was lose/lose for Rob and Ometepe either way.
I'll agree that he should have waited one week. Get Steve out and then send Matt to face him. I can see wanting to get Matt out early due to his acumen as an individual challenge specialist, but there isn't going to be a duel before the next Tribal Council, so get Steve out and then Matt.
We know Matt is naive, but where is Andrea protecting him and telling him to shut up? She let her closest ally blah himself out of the game when she should have been dictating his strategy. I mean, how hard is it to tell him, "God is a vengeful, jealous God. He wants Rob gone." He would have eaten that crap up.
She said she flipped on him because he is "flakey." Jealousy over a girl giving him a bible very well cost her this game. If she had Matt as her loyal foot soldier, teamed up with Zapatera and Marine Mike, they would've been final three and she would've won.
I agree - I want the longwinded, unedited version of all of Philip's speeches. The guy is Survivor gold.
The only thing I don't agree with you on is ... I don't think he's playing the bat**** crazy guy. I think he might actually be a nutcase.
Although ... it would be awesome at the reunion show for him to be like "Honestly, that was all an elaborate act. I'm actually a drama teacher at XYZ Highschool. I even have some of my students here with me tonoight Jeff".
I'd say it shows more worthlessness of having a player on your show that has zero knowledge of how to play it. First he decides to let the game come to him, which never works. Then he gets voted out first. Then what does he do when he gets back? He confides in the person that engineered his voting out, by telling him he had planned to vote him out, but changed his mind. And he was generally surprised when it happened. Really?
I like the Redemption Island twist this year and think it could be a great addition to future shows, but they need to get more wolves on the show and less lambs.
Rob still has an idol though. There was no need to make the move he made other than sheer paranoia.
And then in the ultimate show of Phillip Shepard brilliance, it turns out to be a triple cross to re-establish his cover and kill Osama Bin Laden once and for all!
Agreed. But I blame the producers for this. Like I've said before, they basically stacked the tribes so one would worship the returning player and the other would vote him out instantly. They didn't know who would go where, but they made one tribe very easy to manipulate and the other paranoid to a fault (to the point where it caused their tribe to self destruct). .
