Syfy Nearing Series Order For "12 Monkeys" Adaptation

Well, they explained how he went from 2013 to 2015. Need to rewatch it. I think I might have missed some of the subtleties. Though, it looks like time travel is out for the rest of the season.

This episode just set up more questions. How did the female know anything about Ramsey prior to 1987? How did she and her group know about the necklace and time convergence?

I'm guessing there's yet another time Splinter(er) out there or Ramsey himself somehow gets thrown even further in the past and is thus able to relay information on his imprisonment in Japan.

Whoever this mystery woman's father is, he sure knows a lot about what was coming. Definitely another traveler.

Ramsey handling of the Japanese guy who tormented him for years was bad ass. "I killed you without lifting a finger."

Can't get enough of how plotty these eps are. Too good.
Reminds me of Nikita but with space time and bio theory.

This last ep was pure money.
No wonder they set up all that friendship and time with the two prior. And the character motivations are on point too.

There also seems to be the fact that Ramse and the lady don't seem to age. That is something that is very odd. Could also explain why the corpse was still preserved enough to house the virus.

^ Hmm. I noticed the non-ageing thing but just figured it was just overlooked by the make-up department but now that you mention it, it may be intentional.

I'm now going to go on record and say that I'm co-signing on whoever in this thread speculated that the Corpse was Cole sent in the past but also add that I'm now leaning to it being Ramsey. This is how I'm predicting this season will end. Jones is somehow able to get a lock on Cole in 2015. At the same time Cole and Ramsey are fighting. Cole is about to be splintered back to 2043 but Ramsey grabs him and the 2 are thrusted to the Himalayas 1000 yrs into the past. Both fight to the death but Cole has the note from Cassie in 2017 which saves his life. Ramsey sets up the organization that tells of a traveler who will arrive in 1987. Mystery Woman's father is Ramsey's great (X12) Grandson.

Great ep..and good theory. There's definely another time traveller out there somewhere, as like other's have said, the women knew all about Ramsey being a traveller in 1987. Nooning's character might also be a relative of Ramse from the past..hence his superhuman strength.

I like that this ep was primarily Ramse's point of view and it shows through the progress of his many years of imprisonment and torment, how he goes from Cole's friend to his hardered enemy.

Looks like next week Cassie encounters a younger version of Jones in 2015, so maybe this encounter somehow effects 2043 and she is able to perfect the serum after treating Cole's injuries in 2015, and is then able bring him back to 2043 for a lot more jumps.

This show. I love it. I'm trying to remember the last time I was this invested in a show, with wild theories flying in my head.

This episode definetely proved that if they want to do age make up, they will. And do it well. Jones was looking good. And they out right state that it is a possible outcome of her research. And "I'm not good with people.", no duh Jones.

Nice way to heal Cole. Still thinking the corpse is Cole. Especially as the spilled milk is reminescent of the first time he felt the effects of the paradox. We will see how long he can't return to the future lasts. And it looks like he and Ramse meet up with the prototype for Project Splinter. Curious about the red plants, though.

And they have to keep on adding elements. I have a sneaking suspicion I know who Cole's mom is. Who knows what is up with those grey guys in the future.

Add in Jennifer's hostile takeover, which was amazing. And I loved how they ended the 2015 part with Cole meeting Ramse, and Cole still sure about his younger self making friends with Ramse. Amazing episode. Annoyed I may have to wait for the finale.

This. I haven't had this many wild theories in my head from week to week since "Lost" and "BSG". I love the twists and turns it takes while also maintaining it's cohesiveness. In the flashbacks a few episodes back I wondered why Jones was so sure that Cole was the man she was looking for, lol, now we know. And yeah, Jones looked good as her younger self. I was expecting Cole to comment that she was kinda hot.

yeah, I'm kinda surprised at how unappealing Katarina looks in 2043, but looks soooo good when she was younger... guess it must be those damn smokes she's constantly puffing on... LOL...

Jones looked good in 2015.... and so did that red head in the sex video. :drl:

aw, poor Cole. his fight against the 12 monkeys was pretty much inherited. I'm guessing the "Striking Woman", as she is credited, will end up being Cole's mother.

what the **** is up with the red plant seeping through the splinter machine?

The show is too epic.

I personally always find something smoldering about her :yay:
Seems kinda like one of those actresses that would probably smoking hot in their prime.

here's Katarina... Barbara Sukowa in real-life today...

I don't find her attractive in the least... I was surprised that she's 65 years old...

The things people can do with make-up, though gotta wonder if there was a bit of CGI trickery going on to remove some lines from her face.

But for 65, she is still looking good.

Great ep. Sucks that there's only one ep left…and we probably have to wait up to year for season 2.:(

Since we always see her in pants, i didn't realise Jennifer had such hot legs! :awesome: :hrt:

And i co-sign on the Jones make up..great job.

I'm still a little confused how/when, etc pertaining to Cassie giving Cole the note a few eps back that we find out in this ep is Jones address.

I assume that Aaron is now permantly in the dog house with Casie and Cole seeing as how he gets Cole's dad killed….

Great episode. Can't wait to see what happens next. I like how no matter what Cole seemed to do it was basically pre-ordained how it would turn out, just like the movie. Something tells me things will get crazy in the next episode

Those grey guys at the end- the ones who look like the ninja squad from The Strain- i have a feeling that they're from the future, and travelled back to 2043 in order to change something that occurs in their time….

I'm not sure how I feel about the finale. This has been one of the best series on television. Cassie being the Timetravelling protagonist now opens up a whole new avenue but makes absolutely no sense. We already know she's not immune to the virus and that the original virus mutated a few times by 2043 so logically sending her into the future (w/ an exposed wound) is pretty much a death sentence.

Ramsey's motivations are soooo out there that I can't take the character seriously anymore. So he spends 28yrs w/ Cole and kills him in order to save his son whom he met a few days prior. He spends another 28yrs focused on saving his son but also living w/ the fact that he murdered the one person he's been closets with. What?? I really hate writing like this. There's no one (who isn't a sociopath) who thinks like this. It just screams Anakin from ROTS to me.

Other than those 2 things and the constant number 12 fake-outs I enjoyed the finale and the season. Can't wait to see how things progress next season.

I'm completely lost at this point but are the Emperor Palpatine cospalyers in 2043 the 12 Monkey kids grown up?

That's what's implied but the leader seemed much older than 28.

Heh, I agree with this. It did kinda bug me, especially at how fast and drastic he changed his mind about everything, just because he found out he had a kid.

I still liked this show a lot. Really fun to watch. Did it get picked up for a second season?

yeah, it was renewed several weeks ago... so it's a done deal...

I too felt the finale was a bit off from what we're used too. Cassie being sent forward; so when she dies in 2017, she has already been through all the time travel stuff we're yet to see, so at some point she is sent back. Her splintering felt forced….

The Ramsey stuff, like other's have mentioned, was too daytime soap opera-ish to me, but i'm glad he and Cole now seem to be back on the same team.

So….who is The Witness? It's not Ramsey. I have a theory that Aaron is somehow the Witness. Remember a few eps back when Cassie is exposed to drug and is hallucinating; the Witness steps out in the warehouse, but it wearng a mask. When Ramsey went back in time, i assumed he was the Witness, and they had his faced cover with the mask, so not to reveal his identity to the viewers during that particular ep. Now it appears to me, that even though Aaron was burnt, he may have survived, and be the figure that was wearing the mask. Since the time machine in 2015 doesn't have the ability to send people back in time yet, maybe Aaron the Witness is send forward to some point when it is possible to travel backwards, and is then sent back to a point before 2015…?

The finale scene with Jennifer. So she's the one who spreads the virus; looks like it was 12 suit cases. I assume the kids weren't in those cases, so she spreads the virus and the kids were created to what..combat it in the future..? Confused about that part...
