Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

I think the whole movie entirely sucked, my friend left 80% of the way in.
i never could understand why a person would leave a movie. especally if its almost over.

i guess people like wasting money and then they come on a board and ask how it ends then. that happen with the hills have eyes and amityville horror remakes.

This movie had my chest hurting. Definately tied with Clerks II. :D

And yes, it is better than Anchorman, and I freakin love Anchorman.

Tied?!?!!  No way! Clerks 2 was HILARIOUS! This movie didn't even make me laugh :( :down

Both movies were hilarious. I think they're tied.

Carley Bobby: If we wanted wussy kids, we would have named them 'Dr. Quinn' and 'Medicine Woman.'

Jean Girard: Hakuna Matata, *****es.

Reese Bobby: There was a whole rat in my Cobb salad.

Ricky Bobby: Nope, from now on it's, Magic man...and El Diablo.

Announcer at Racetrack: The current driver, Jean Girard, is on the pole, which is only a statement of fact and in no way a comment on his sexual orientation.

Ricky Bobby: This sticker is inconvenient and dangerous, but I do like Fig Newtons.

Ricky Bobby: I sent my application in to The Real World, and I'm pretty much putting all of my eggs in to that basket, the MTV basket.

Ricky Bobby: If my MTV career doesn't work out, I was thinking i'd start selling crack. I would be like a laid back crack dealer, though. Nothing too formal. I'd just be like 'Hey boys, how's it going? Want some crack?'

haha!

I left in The Grudge. It was at the point where
they go in the attic and find the jaw
Me and friend looked at eachother and said "this is stupid" and left back out to the mall.

:joker:

"Academy Award Nominee" Amy Adams

She was the Purse Lady/Jim's girlfriend in The Office, Frank Jr.'s wife in Catch Me If You Can, Oscar nominee in Junebug and appeared in the such classsics as Cruel Intentions 2 and Psycho Beach Party. She's hot.

These movies are supposed to be stupid. Someone who goes to see this movie and comes out saying how stupid it was is, in fact, the stupid one. You've gotta take it for what it is. People who come out saying the story made no sense...yada yada...are stupid.

The story makes perfect sense. Is it stupid? Yes. But that's what it supposed to be. The movie actually has a great story structure. There are 3 acts that you can easily separate from each other.

It's a funny film. If you don't like it, than that's just your sense of humor. I loved it, but then again, I enjoy these movies and am able to take them for what they are.

dodgerI dont know why i thought this but i thought the red head was his sister? When she first appered did they say sponsor or sister?[/quote said:
She was his ASSISTANT...

We agree on yet another aspect of comedy :D

I haven't seen this flick yet but Anchorman and 40-Year Old Virgin are two of my favorite movies so it'd be impsossible for me to dislike this movie.

The reviews (for this time of film) are actually quite great.

75% on RT. That's the same as SR. :O

Great minds think alike. :)

THe best part is how 60-70% of the movie is just Cohen, Ferrell, and the other guy improving...I can't wait for deleted scenes and outtakes

I just got back from seeing it. Good ****ing movie.

I had a great time watching this movie. This, Monster House and Pirates were the biggest surprises for me this summer. I never had a good 3 in a row during the summer before.

yup.

if you don't like the ferrell's humor that's one thing, but how was this story stupid? it could have easily been a non-comedy action movie and still made a whole lot of sense.
