Tarsem Singh and Ryan Reynolds Make Selfless Plans

The problem is that Reynolds isn't a character actor. Reynolds is one of those actors that plays versions of himself to varying degrees.

It's one of those movies that got ****ed by the studios, I'm sure Tarsem had a really great story to tell but adding a bunch of unnecessary action scenes ruined it. Kingsley and Reynolds tried their best with what was given. And yeah it didn't look like a Tarsem film at all.

I feel like Reynolds is untouchable at this point. Deadpool could bomb, and yet he'd still land 3 leading man roles a year. I like the guy and all, but it would be nice to see other actors out there get a shot. I saw that movie with him and Helen Mirren recently and I found that softspoken smartass thing he does really grating in it. He needs to stop doing that so he doesn't just feel like he's playing the same character over and over again.
Yeah it's obvious certain people in Hollywood adore him.

Yeah. And granted, I'd rather see him in a lead role than some bland flavor-of-the-month actor, but it seems like some actors get blackballed in Hollywood after a few flops, so I wonder how Reynolds keeps landing leading role after leading role.

Yeah I absolutely do not dislike Reynolds and I thought he was fine in Self/Less but the flops not hurting him is...interesting. Somebody likes him and he obviously has some killer people working on behalf of him. More power to him I guess.

Watched this over the weekend and thought to myself this is one of those movies that probably would be better as a tv series rather than a movie.Everything just felt incredibly rushed and choppy during the 3rd and final act.
