Although this does mean that news will slow down for a while till public hype builds up when it gets closer to the time it also the end of spy pics taken at 20 feet with camera phones! LOL

But the good thing is we are edging ever closer to the day we're all waiting for and we'll see a lot more official pics and trailers come soon enough. Maybe even at the end of nov (maybe the poster) and we might see something in decmeber too if HE is a man of his word! ;)

Kind of interesting that the film wraps filming, and we are getting hints of something "special" on November 17th/18th.

Wouldn't this give Nolan & crew a week to kind of flesh out a new trailer?

Who knows...

What do all of you want to see when it comes to Promotional Material for this film? I want an out and out trailer like the AVP-R trailer.

let the boredom begin....well after the 17th.

after the 17th i'm not going to read/post on this board....the stuff thats far too spoilerish will start to come through.

you're right....but i have a busy schedule after the 17th so i probably will do it.

this is awesome . . . seems like a whole lot of time to polish up what will be a true gem of a movie . . . . and yes, possibly time to get is a muthafuackin trailer!!! WITH FOOTAGE!!!

Heh, they've been doing dailies of footage and telecining since filming began. They've had plenty of time to put together footage for a trailer. Wondercon footage speaks for itself.

trailers usually include snippets of the movie's soundtrack, along with cgi work and foley stuff.. something a film processing company doesn't have ready access to.

Sweet, it's too bad I have to work and can't sit in front on my computer all Sunday night. :(

they actually got to post production faster than i though, i was expecting them to reach it by the end of january

Footage comes FROM the processing house TO the director, producers, etc, then they take it to their marketing team.

i would imagine that putting together a trailer while handling the actual filming (ie: directing a camera unit + actors ON LOCATION) would be a difficult feat.

Well there´s certainly a lot of time to edit and perfect the finished product.

And now its time for the real movie making to begin-THE CGI WORK

Well, yes, but so is watching dailies, which is essential when filming a movie. You want to know if footage you've shot isn't working out so that you can schedule some reshoots to correct the problem. Usually you get footage processed to telecine and it arrives the next day depending on when you send them the footage. But this also depends on what the schedule is like.

But I doubt Nolan himself is going to be there with the marketing team. I would suppose that perhaps they cut a few things for him, send him copies on DVD to look over when he has the time.

I know the teaser trailer didn't have any footage, but they gave us a flying logo and audio from confirmed filmed scene. And that was back in July I believe. I might be wrong.

In any case, Nolan found time to splice 5 minutes worth of footage together for Wondercon. And the only way to do that is to process footage.
