The Dark Knight TDK Moves Into Post-Production

Kind of interesting that the film wraps filming, and we are getting hints of something "special" on November 17th/18th.

Wouldn't this give Nolan & crew a week to kind of flesh out a new trailer?

Who knows...

Wizard World Texas is this weekend

Christ, 8 months of post-production? That's incredibly long for something supposedly not cgi-ridden.

Welp, were in the home stretch now. something new in a few days, then the joker thing in December, then surely 1 maybe 2 trailers between then and July

Surely all they have now is raw footage, it takes alot longer to cut a movie than you might think.

I know it's a long process, but typically the most I've seen is around 6 months.

This film has had a seven-month shoot, which is pretty long, even for this type of film. I think because Nolan is doing everything practically it would probably take even longer. To set up everything, and then execute it, and now with the task of putting it all together, and going through the hours and hours of footage, I'm sure it's a very laborious, tenuous process.

There are also numerous other things to take into consideration, like ADR (automated dialogue replacement), sound design, digital effects (however minimal, the production still has its good share i.e. the design of Gotham, et al), the scoring process and so forth.

And in any case, you can never really put a timetable on a film production. There are so many unpredictable elements that fall into play that could change everything, you just have to go with the flow and hope it all turns out all right.

And how about models. Those would all be done in post, correct?

Because there's not supposed to be too much CG much of that will be done practically with models, and that's not necessarily a quick process.

What models? It's in post. Model work is done during principal photography, isn't it?

ahh Post Prod

where all the good stuff starts leaking out :oldrazz:

November 17th - let's hope we finally get something now that filming has wrapped.

Here, here. I'm itching for a trailer so bad. Especially after the disappointing rewards we got from the last viral game.

No, I meant the scattered letters in different cities. I'm assuming thats a different game then the one that's going on now, with the photos and Joker paint.
it´s still the same game. it has just proceeded into phase 2
:hyper:

that was quick...can't wait to see the trailer with I AM LEGEND in IMAX. I'm going to make a big deal about it too with my wife. We're going to go to the theatre, watch the trailer, and leave...She's going to be soo pissed, but that's payback for making me eat flavorless Norwegian food. Dammit that food sucked!

We still have wss.com........and the Joker flipping us off :(

Well, thank God shooting is finally over. Now, the anticipation begins for the trailer and more movie sites. I wonder if they have already finished the score TDK and TDK the video game.

guys just because they're moving into post-production doesnt mean theyre done shooting. there will be some reshoots, and plus theyre only moving into post-production because they have enough of the film completed to do so.

but on the other hand, it does make me sad because i thoroughly enjoyed all the spy-pics of Bats and Joker and Gordon...:csad:
