The Dark Knight TDK suit v.s. BEGINS suit

I noticed then, even as a child, that he couldn't move much in the suit. I agree with you on something for once, I like the leather look on Batman. I think to this day a Daredevil type suit would be awsome.

A Daredevil type suit? That would look horrible on Batman and to this day the suit in the DD movie makes me almost as nauseous as Ben Affleck's acting.

They still haven't nailed a very good suit look IMO which is evidenced(sp?)
by the need to change the begins suit again to this new one...

I also wish the Emblem on the chest was bigger instead of the small Bat Logo on the TDk suit.

Positves with the new suit will be a less "teh puffy" situations and the ability to move his neck(which they went out of their way to show us with the official pics).

Anyone else think Bale was instructed not to get as big as he was in the first movie? he looks much more slender to me

It will never happen when everybody is satisfied with the Batman suit. But personaly I like the new suit better...

To me, flat out the best Batman suit ever created for a Batman live action production was the 89 suit. As much as I loved the way the Batman Begins suit came together, all the awesome elements, it kinda looked wack and downright ****ed up in some scenes. I personally think in terms of design: IE (Batmobile, Batwing, Gotham, Batman costume, villain costumes) nobody can touch Burton. I am still a teenager so it cannot be said that I grew up with Batman 89', I wasn't even born yet when it was released. But it still amazes me that almost 20 years later we haven't had a suit, IMO, that even come close to the quality and awesomeness of Batman 89'. I like the TDK suit, but you can't beat the Burton suit.

I'm on the fence on that one. (the '89 suite) While I think it looked good when he was standing still, when he moved it looked painfully bad with how stiff he was...and for a ninja having the inability to turn his head without moving his whole body...it's just corny.

But like I said, it looks good when he's standing still.

I do like the vehicle designs...all though I gotta be honest...I actually think the Tumbler is my favorite batmobile EVEr. :D

 Am I missing something here? IMO the BB suit had that same problem if not a little worse. Watch the movie again, remember that scene when Batman is running down the Arkham hallways and he throws a bomb to blow up the door of a cell? That scene looked ridiculous, he barely looked like he could run at all.

Nope. Keaton could NOT move his head. Bale could look up and down without moving his entire body.

Keaton had to move his torso to look up.

I like the BB suit and now the TDK suit. I dont see what the Robocop fuss are about?

If Bale's movement isn't any better in TDK than it is in Begins, then we'll hear some serious fussing.

I think one of darkest knight's set reports said the costume designer and stunt double were giggling like schoolgirls about how much more mobile the new suit is

That's a weird thing to be giggling about. Oh, who the hell am I kidding.

well my biggest complaint of the new suit is the legs. they are far too busy looking. Especially if they look anything like that stunt suit. looks like some 1970's disco pants. all it needs is wide bell bottoms.
I keep seeing Tron in a cowl and cape.

I don't think thats necessarily true. The idea is after all that we are watching the evolution of Batman into the hero we know today. It makes sense that he would go through some transitions with the suit.

Changing the look of the suit has more to do with merchandising than anything else. If TDK Batman figures look just like the BB one's parents are less likely to buy the products. It sucks, but that is the way the world works.
