Did anyone else see in the paper today that The Dark Knight has gotten some complaints? It has received complaints because it is rated 12A, and parents thought that its a bit too um..."scary(?)" for kids. I actually agree I definately dont think this should have been rated 12A, easily should be a 15.

I don't think its that scary. I saw worst movies when I was 12. Unless you grew up in a village in the country side and only watched coronation street it might be scary but the average kid isn't gonna find it that bad.

I didn't find it scary, but I can see what people are getting at. It does strain at the limits of what constitutes a 12A. Then again I agree with the BBFC in that it doesn't dwell on or glamorise the violence.

Look at what heppened to BR the we got BF, so I hope these "stupid soccer mom's" complaints won't affect Batman 3.

In my opinion I think it's mainly a 12A so that it will make more money and to help sell merchandise.

it easily deserved a 15, the worst 12A (in terms of violence & feel) I've seen since Terminator 3, my Mum was not impressed one bit & much preferred Batman Begins as a whole too.

And on another note, when I saw it for the second time more than a few people laughed at Two Face when they first saw his face, & it was a few couples not kids. I know he kinda looks unrealistic but the first time I saw it not one single person laughed & it was a packed screen whereas the second time I saw it there only maybe a dozen other people watching it.

Everyone I know who has seen it has said it should be a 15.

this movie is quite disturbing, but only for people who are disturbed in the head.

if we are wanting to be British shouldn't it be rugby mums?

no football was invented in england so whatever the english call it is what it is. LOL rugby mums!!! im fortunate enough to never come across one!!

You don't really get Rugby 'Mums', you get people at the game...but we don't have to name everything all the time ;)

If anything, the worst people to complain would be the WI Women or look up Mary Whitehouse from years back.

The only supposed 'real' people to complain would be people with far too much time and little thought process.

Rugby generally consists of having a good game with the lads and they all appear to sit down afterwards with a cider and then proceed to get very very drunk.......I digress I feel, apologies! :p

WBPI top brass claim The Dark Knight is now the highest grossing superhero film of all time in the UK, where it added $8.2m after a 38% drop in the third weekend for $69.3m. It ranked number in Australia for the fourth consecutive weekend as $2.6m following a 38% drop raised the tally to $35.6m in the late Heath Ledger's native country.

I just saw it yesterday for the second time in Poole... and the cinema was still full.

Shame the Watchmen trailer wasn't shown.

It is kinda scary and I'm 13 and even I jumped at some parts but it should remain a 12A or maybe they should've just given it a solid 12 rating so anyone 12 or over could watch it.
When I got my ticket for TDK they said I was an adult. :D

I've seen it four times and i havent seen the watchmen trailer at any cinema but i've seen the mummy and get smart trailer everytime lol!

The Watchmen trailer is not in standard screens where i am but is in the Imax showings.

Yeah I've seen it 3 times at Imax, and once on a standard screen, and only got the Watchmen trailer (which looks cool) with the Imax viewings.
