On another note, can we keep this thread spoiler-free? It's one of a few pages I will allow myself to check before the weekend!
Sure thing.

I saw it again yesterday, and again it was great. I still don't feel I've reflected on it enough to give it a full review though. It needs multiple viewings, definiately. I don't think I'm seeing it tonight, but I'm seeing it tommorow.

Oh I forgot, I tried to get the clap going at the Wednesday Manchester screening at the end. I did it for like 30 seconds, and not a single ****ing person went for it. Yeah, thanks you *******s!

If you clapped during the credits on wednesday, my fiance joined in with you as did i after i was told by her to clap. Maybe not really loud clapping but we did clap:yay:

There are few things in the world more embarassing than clapping without accompaniment.

Maybe dancing.

I was totally speechless by the end of that film. I didn't clap because I was still trying to take everything in. Totally awe-struck, what a fantastic movie. Though I need to see it again - a lot - to really take everything in...

The film got an applause at the end in the Glasgow iMAX showing I went to.

listened to Keromode's review on 5Live a few min's ago, exactly what I basically I thought of it & a very fair review, if somebody said what he said on this board you'd get flamed you so much but hey most are Nolanite fanboy's who won't let you say one negative thing about TDK.

I wanted to clap at the Wednesday showing of it at Manchester IMAX, but I didn't want to be the only person clapping along with the fool that started it.

Sorry, Buttman :o:woot::oldrazz:

j/k

London imax showing had applause at the beginning, end, and pretty much whenever joker acted like a lunatic

Today at my local cinema everyone and me stayed for credits clapped when Heath Ledger & crew member's name came up.

Everyone telling each other how good the movie was.

Man,I was let down with this film.
Heath Ledger's performance of Joker was good, but Oscar worthy? I think they're pushin that a bit, especially since he died (no disrespect to the fellow,RIP).

It was good,I'm not denyin that, but nowhere near as much as the hype made it out to be, in my opinion.

I was bored quite a lot, loud explosions, gunshots & killings don't necessarily make a good film.
The part where Joker tells Batman where Harvey is & where Rachel is,I could see that double cross, that was predictable, it's expected with Joker as he isn't all what he seems.

Solid 7/10 though,I though Iron Man was much better.
Oh,and if they're still considerin goin with the mob route as they have the past 2 films and introduce new villains,I think they should go with The Ventriloquist & Scarface in the next one.
Depends how realistic he is though - heck, they made
Two Face
work :yay:

Ooops, sorry for postin the "review" in the non-spoiler forum.
I would advise you not to read it.
My apologies again :csad:

Just watched Newsnight review who generally gave the film a great review.

But they gave away 2 major spoilers for the people that have not seen the film.

I saw that too, they said it would be ordinary movie without Heath Ledger's Joker. Does anyone agree with that?

I don't think it would be a movie at all without him. The film is almost entirely about the Joker and his dealings throughout the film...

Feel my pain guys-

Today I caught the train and met some friends in Manchester to watch TDK Imax.
Upon arrival at the Odeon we were informed all Imax showings had sold out for the next two days.

I was really tempted to watch it on a regular screen, but I've waited this long so I guess I can wait longer.

That is tough, I probably would have exploded in anger and then I probably would have cried. See it on a regular screen then see it in IMAX to compare the two, that's what I'm going to do.

You never missed much, i turned up today to see it on a regular screen (i saw it in imax on wednesday) but the Odeon in manchester had a power cut so everyone was threw out and given complimentary tickets.

Wow! that sucks man.:csad:

It's worth the wait.

Anybody seen that free entertainmenr mag inside the The Daily Telegraph (think its called Seven), anyway the review of TDK is 2 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, the reviewer to me has always had no taste in movies giving bad movies above average scores & good movies average or below average scores. She makes some valid points but she takes those points too far.

Yup, that's what he means. :)

As for Dangerous' quest to watch TDK on Imax...

I could go watch today on a regular screen, but then the impact/effect would not be as great as watching on Imax for the first time.

It is quite galling tho..
The Imax showings are selling out because of all the hype and most of those ticket sales are from non comic readers.

I think tuesday I'll make my move.

Well for those debating wether to wait for imax or just see it on a regular screen, i'd say having seen it on both now, the imax is such an experience that it has to be done. But the film's worth seeing either way, if you can't see it at imax straight away, go see it anyway. Oh and we clapped like loons at our showing at the imax, hehehe we even clapped before the movie when two guys dressed as batman walked up to their seats.

Seen it, loved it, will discuss further in the spoilers forum.

But one thing- it is ridiculous that a 12 year old can watch a film that made my (twenty-something) girlfriend feel sick with anxiety.
