Ok I just saw the movie again now -
I still think it was a terrible idea to end of the trilogy with a shot of JGL. The "Robin" name was cringe-worthy - People were actually laughing out loud at that in my theater both times I saw that - I would have except I was speechless. Totally classless move. They could have used Richard Grayson, Jason Todd or Tim Drake, hell even Damian (just by first name) - but Robin??? And a 30+ yr old one at that?? Nothing against JGL, his performance was top-notch - this is a screenplay F up.
The final scene should have been the cafe scene.
The screenplay and dialogue was embarrassing in many parts - nowhere near on the level of some of the delivery and dialogue in BB and TDK. The storm is coming line as delivered by Jen comes to mind in particular....
Bane will go down as having the most disappointing comic book movie death in the history of comic book movies. That was awful.
How did Bruce return to Gotham after escaping from the prison? I don't think he walked or hitched a ride because Alfred wasn't even around to pick him up this time.
LOL wow. I think im gonna leave this forum soon, cuz this post is not only nitpicking at its finest, when in my opinion this is the best Batman movie ever made (best comic book too & one of the best movies in general that ive ever witnessed on the big screen)....but it's a reason for my constant face-palming lately.
You thought Banes death sucked? I thought it was amazing, and i wasnt even sure if i would like Catwoman killing him. Batman did the damage first, paving way for Selina. That shot to the chest was MIGHTY.
Dialogue and screenplay were fantastic in my opinion. Nobody laughed when i saw it last night, when the Robin name was dropped. Everyone jumped up screaming YES! 30 year old robin? It's his name...it;s not like he's 30 years old in a robin-esque suit. He's either the next Batman or Nightwing, which is the right age.
My friends and i walked out of the cinema and all agreed that whoever nitpicks this is out of their minds. Where are you going to find such tremendous acting, casting, directing, music, action sequences, pacing, writing, etc?? Especially in this genre?? We were all like jesus christ....nobody should even make a Batman movie after this. WHO is going to top this!? Who would want to!? It's either going to be a rip-off or so far away from it that it'll come off either too goofy or too comic-booky.
It's just our opinion, but it's completely baffling to me how someone can criticise this. Even with its mistakes, it still makes the other CBM'S that were released this year, look like silly action-comedies that are meant for children.
Im no longer complaining about YOU but about everyone elses posts ive read in the last 24 hrs. If you dont like certain things, fine, its ur right. But i just dont understand all the complaints, at ALL. I feel like im from another planet when i read some of this stuff. I cant relate.
Bashing the length of the movie?? Do you people just watch 2 hr movies, because LOTR is some boring ass **** when it hits the 2 hour mark and there's still a damn hour left usually. This was a tight script and didnt lag on and on like LOTR. Godfather 2 is one of my fav movies of all time, do ppl think that's boring?? Just because they think a gangster movie shouldnt be so long? If it fits, it fits. In this case, the script was just right.
I know im coming off like an A-HOLE, like my opinions are fact. But after experiencing this movie last night, i actually dont care right now. What more do you want from Nolan?? This man delivered 80 000 times more than i thought he would. Everything felt so much more realistic, even compared to the others. The scope was INSANE.
Dont like Robin or the reference? K i can see that, but i loved it, and im not even a fan of the character THAT much. Nolan took away all corniness surrounding him, tossed it out, made Blake a mix of all the different robins pretty much. The music, with the scenes edited together, and the emotion?? Perfect ending.
Im out. Done my rant. Dont care about others thoughts on the movie. These are mine. Perfect movie, perfect trilogy, no nitpicking. EXCELLENCE.
