I'm going with one who isn't on the list: Doc Ock. He's not a visually pleasing character in the comics, especially in his early years, but the SM2 version managed to take the concept and make it look menacing.

Yeah I didn't see him mentioned in the previous thread about this, I used the most common answers from that thread.

I had to go with MCU Cap, because his comic book costume is so bad.

Having said that, I would probably say comic book Vulture is equally awful and the MCU version is badass.

They were never going to faithfully adapt the comic book version of Vulture, they probably viewed it as too childish.

But a man dressed in a blue and red spider costume is very mature?

These movies aren't just being made for children anymore.

They never were. Superman the Movie was made for all ages, and almost every superhero movie since has been the same, except things like Spawn.

Disagree a brooding John Malkovich would have been perfect for the role. They just completely missed the mark. I hate that movie btw so maybe I'm not as subjective.

Agree with your disagreement. They totally bypass the beauty of his character he's this old and unkempt limp old man trying to find his fountain of youth. For some to say the comics version wouldn't work are being naive imo.

Exactly. You have to look beyond the fact that the movie Vulture looks cooler, and realise that he doesn't capture the essence of the character; which is a bitter, twisted old man.

true

Out of those on the list, I voted MCU Cap, because while I liked the general pattern in the comics, I always hated the scale-mail and swashbuckler boots/gloves. The suits in Age of Ultron, Winter Soldier and Civil War/Infinity War are my favorites.

Vulture was close, but I kept thinking about how much that thing is probably breaking his back when he stands. Unless the metal is super lightweight and it's not mentioned (or I missed it).

I voted Thanos I loved that in the movies as he started gathering the Stones he shed his Armor and looked way more Menacing

Lots of good options, but I had to go with Iron Man.

I dig all of these choices, but I equally dig their comic book counterparts. I think the only one I could say was an out and out improvement would be TDKR Bane. Great design that I feel works better for the character than the Mexican wrestler look (which I still like).

Agreed.

A lot of love for MCU Vulture and MCU Iron Man.

Dude. The original Vulture costume would be ridiculous in live action - not surprised at all that the MCU version gets so much love, I mean the comic version flies without a helmet he'd spend more time picking bugs out of his teeth than fighting spidey !
