The 2012 Iowa Caucuses

88 percent of precints reporting

Santorum - 25 percent
Romney - 25 percent
Paul - 21 percent

The only ones being "crushed" in Iowa are Gingrich, Perry, and Bachmann.

I was hoping to see the fallout of a Ron Paul victory in Iowa.

Anything else is pretty boring.

Imma go to my bed and just pout...perhaps...granted there's still NH...

I told ya so. You really were only setting yourself up for disappointment.

And now that Ron Paul will lose Iowa, he isn't going to win New Hampshire. The perception that people won't take Paul seriously enough just cannot be broken if he doesn't win. Especially if he came in third.

Either way....Paul has a better chance in a caucus than in actual primary.

Only people getting crushed are Newt, Perry, and Bachmann. Paul is a somewhat close 3rd. Over 20% of vote still.

More like 12% now guy. Paul is not in a somewhat close third, he's in a clear third. This is a race between Santorum and Romney now.

CNN has projected that Ron Paul will be in 3rd, Newt Gingrich will be in 4th, Rick Perry will be in 5th, Michelle Bachmann will be in 6th, and Jon Huntsman will be in 7th. They haven't projected who will win between Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum.

Ron Paul ain't gonna be happy, pretty sure he said he'd be shocked if he didn't come in 1st or 2nd...

wow this is razor thin close.

I'm willing to bet second place demands a recount.

Romney probably doesn't even care. This is a win for him either way. Iowa was always going to be the biggest problem for him.

I wonder if Paul will be a distant 2nd in NH...Santorum can't keep this up can he...?

:( x3.

Michelle Bachmann....from straw poll winner to I'm only beating candidates who didn't participate in debates.

The divide among the top three tells me that people are still desperate for "anyone but Romney".
