2006 Honorary Poster of the Year:
Well, we're almost there folks. This one is a biggie. Honorary poster of the year didn't really accomplish anything special... or maybe they did... but either way none of the other categories covered them exactly... or maybe TOO many of the other categories covered them. Regardless, they're being recognized for their well-deserved presence here over the last year, and therefore are given an Honorary 'Pobey.
Now, like I said I have decided the winner of this award from long ago... however, there wqre many overall contenders, and a few last minute ones as well. Truthteller was an early nominee. What a guy, probably one of the greatest mods from yore and still around today. Then alot of now-gone posters came to mind like m0d, Fuzz, Ryoko... none of them have been here, so they can't really earn it.
No, it had to be someone who has been around, but also is still here today. Then I started to think a little outside of the box. As we all know, Drakon is working hard to bridge the gap between the uppers and the common folk. With a superb outlook on what it takes to make this site enjoyable, he's working vigorously to do just that, and a bang up job, to boot! He wins my heart, but sadly, not this award. Why? Because I had already deemed the winner.
Many others who were considered were those who won awards already, and those who haven't been here in the last year. Regardless, the pobey goes to another.
Then I thought, what about those trendy moments in the Oscars where they show you all the people who died in the last year, and they play the theatrical music, and everyone cries. (Thanks Wil). The music strums up emotion, and they play a brief video of the favorites who everyone knew and loved. Well, in this last year, the only one we know who (supposedly) died, (not including Lumberjack, if he's dead), is Mongo. The guy everyone liked, and was an advocate of "fun" here at SHH! He may be gone, but the least I could do was to consider him for the honor of Honorary Poster of the Year.
So, without further ado, the honor for said award goes to:
Yeah, sorry all those who didn't make the cut. Seriously, how can you not love this guy? Actually, it's easy... but he paid me money and he gets a 'pobey. You suck jack, I hope you die
PS - don't get this sticky with dmcnx sauce.
Also, I should state that this is not an award that can have a repeat winner. The winner of this award can only win once... so for this first official year of the Kipobe Awards, this honor is both memorable, and fantasmic.
Next award: 2006 Girl of the Year.
