This is piggybacking on what I was saying the other day about his Letterboxd/Criterion picks but I'll just say the quiet part out loud this time: Brady Corbet is pretentious as hell. I say that as someone who really liked The Brutalist too.

Eh, He and I have somewhat of the same taste, but I’m also very open to liking ‘’B’’ type flicks. Having said that, he does know a lot about film, Baker couldn’t keep up with him in certain film knowledge talk etc. He is also one of the few Americans making bold choices in this regard, big swings! Basically a euro snob pedigree with a New Jersey pov. Lol
