The trailer sells it for me, i will see aquaman cos i love dc, but it has increased my hype.
I get a bit worry on how the underworld kingdom looks like...but i hope they have time to make it seem more realistic.
The main strenght of this trailer, it shows the charm of all main casts, they have scene presence.

Not at all, the Oa scenes was the best thing about Green Lantern.
I kinda liked the fighter Jet sutff myself. :D But yeah, I've never seen you troll anything man, everyone needs to relax in here, I think James Wan has been playing some Uncharted as well!

5 months more to work on that, man.

And Wan is probably the most obsessive perfectionist I saw in the biz

Plenty of time for refinement. I'm ready to watch the film as is. As long as I get rewind every scene with Black Manta. ;)

The only part of the trailer where I thought the CGI looked bad was the stuff that takes place on land. Like the green screen sunset or when Arthur jumps off the airplane.

Yeah that's the only part that's bugging me. And you can't really fix those shots unless they do reshoots.

What's the estimated run time? Any word on that? Cuz... that trailer was packed. No way you fit all that into under two hours. Might have to push it to two hours twenty minutes.

That splitting in half scene.......*shudders*

Hey, I'm an Admin! :argh:....just kidding. :D So have you been a life long Aquaman fan or is it just this movie that's drawn you to the character?

**** man, I had 15000 drinks and cannot read titles here :D

I just love James. His films are awesome and he is a great dude.

And Amber is amazing. And Nicole was in the movie that made me a fan of movies (Moulin Rouge!)

And Jason...oh, Jason. The man who makes me think there are good guys out there.

It's probably a heresy to write on a board like this but my passion for this one has nothing to do with the source material, it has everything to do with people involved in it

He’s also great in Little Children and Hard Candy, if you haven’t seen those.

Haven’t seen them but might have to check them out

Oh man not to get off topic but that entire scene, brutal. That whole ending gets pretty brutal. Love that the film didn’t hold back on that though.

Really like what I’m seeing here overall. My only complaint is that the trailer (and perhaps the movie) might be trying to cram a little too much in. This almost felt like the second or third trailer to me... what I mean is, I wasn’t expecting to have so much thrown at me this early on. That said, most if not all of what I saw I liked. It looks like a bit of a mashup of Thor Ragnarok and maybe Wonder Woman, and that’s a good combination. I’m a little confused as to how Manta fits into the greater plot of the film; I certainly hope his involvement feels organic and not just like something tacked on because WB knows people want to see the character. Heard steals the show for me; she really seems to be bringing her A-game here. Momoa still seems a bit too “Broseidon” but I’m sensing that we’ll get a more rounded performance from him here.

I agree that there is a lot going on and they crammed in a lot. It is a lot to take in for a first trailer. The Shazam trailer was clever in that it started off quieter and built up on that. But this tells me that the Aquaman movie is really packed with a lot of story and sequences, and the trailer tried to show glimpses of all of them. From Atlanna with Tom, to Arthur's childhood, being trained, being called by Mera and going back to Atlantis, to dealing with the threats of Ocean Master, Black Manta and the Trench etc. It's a lot. I think it's different from being another Justice League movie or a Green Lantern movie because I think it will have a lot more content than those movies, which both were lacking in story/content.

That being said, I was amazed seeing those establishing shots of Atlantis. It goes by rather quickly, but in the movie we get time to take in all of that. Plus more of the underwater battles, which look epic. My head is still kind of spinning from the trailer but I can't believe we're seeing Atlantis. Black Manta looked cool too, I'm sure his role in all this will be tied in well.

Jason is still in the early stages of leading Atlantis, so he would be more jokey. If this movie series goes on, then his character and duties will evolve.

He should have asked Tom Cruise how to do that for real. :D

:funny: Is that 15000 drinks of Ocean water from the trailer? ;)

It's not hersey at all, many posters have joined this board due to their love of movies, whether it be those that simply loved Raimi's Spidey films as opposed to the comics, or the Nolan fans in the mid-2000's to fans right now joining because they love the MCU or are a fan of Gal's Wonder Woman, or indeed are a fan of someone on this film and thus grown an interest in the character, everyone is welcome.

I didn't realize Kane was so unpopular around here, I like Kane, but then again, I like most people around these forums lol.

By the end I just needed Clint Eastwood to ride in from somewhere and **** those cannibals up lol.

I think Kane has love in the misc movies section, although I didn't realize him and Sawyer were side eyeing each other these days, two oldbies as well. :ssbr:

I watched the trailer a couple of times. Love it! Atlantis looks great. Slightly reminds me of Avatar/Black Panther... Maybe just how the colors burst out. It's beautiful! I love Momoa as Arthur/Aquaman. Can't wait to see this!

Not gonna lie Amber and Nicole girl power is probably even more exciting to me than all of Jason's glory :funny:

good God I am LIVING :funny:

Ehhhhh. The whole "you're the only one who can stop this fantasy war that nobody knows is coming" plot is so high school fantasy novels. Not into it.

Where does ths fall in the DCEU timeline? Post JL...?

Trailer looks great. I didn't have high hopes for this film, but the trailer has made me change my mind.
