No, people aren't hating on ASIB.Um...who exactly was pissed off about ASIB? No one of any legitimacy in the states as the movie was hyped to hell. Maybe some message board people but they complain about everything.
In fact, no one in the States seemed to complain about any of the things you are talking about.
And FWIW the Meg made $142 million domestic ($500 ww) the Nun made $113 million domestic ($346 ww) and ASIB crushed its opening weekend and is going to make bank and win Oscars. No offense but I pray to God they do the exact same thing with AQ that they did with those because those are all huge based on their budgets.
People are hyped about ASIB and many rooting for it. What I meant was when The Nun was released, they put 4 clips of ASIB teasers (they also uploaded those to their YouTube channel) in front of it, all 4 of them, at once. And people in social media / forums either annoyed / made fun of it or told others about negative reactions from their audience. The thing is, people are interested at first but turned annoyed after barrage of trailers. Though it ended well for ASIB.
Maybe I'm waay too paranoid, but ASIB has constant good buzz and DCU is not. Because any small opening for bad words about DCU quickly turns asinine (and usually clickbait articles and videos would follow). And December slot is a blood bath even after Alita moved away. I'm just worried, that's all.
Surely Aquaman won't be a flop, but I want it to be as successful as possible after JL and tired of people talked doom and gloom for almost a year.
But hey, what do I know? WB is doing great with their movies simultaneously, The Meg, CRA, The Nun, ASIB. And Aquaman is the bigger one, so I'm sure WB will handle it carefully.
