The All New and Improved Batman Reboot Casting Thread

Just on looks alone, Jonathan Pryce would make a good Arnold Wesker. Maybe Hugo Strange, too. Doubt he'd ever go for it though. I mean I know he once played a Bond villain, but still.

Yeah but I don't recall Sofia being so got dang FIY-YUH-YIIIINE like Laura :hubba so idk lol

Well, she was pretty hot in Gotham. Though Laura has the height, that mob look and the acting skills to pull her off. She could make Sophia into something really great in her own way.

Sarah Gadon as Sarah Essen

Too young IMO. I think Naomi Watts would be more fitting age wise.

Gadon or Haley Bennett are my choices for Silver St Cloud.

34 is not too young lol. Also, that would exactly be the point if they do Year One.

It’s so typical for Hollywood to have a 50 year old looking dude with a 30 year old looking woman. Someone who looks like a middle aged cop like around 45 would be perfect for Essen.

Plus, Gadon has chemistry with Rob and they’re the same age. They both pass for 30.

Rhea Seehorn, Sarah Paulson and Kate Winslet are other actresses I could see as Sarah Essen.

Seehorn could be perfect timing. Bring her on the show and have her leave town at the end of the season.

Paulson annoys me and is better at playing untrustworthy characters. Winslet fits Essen more but I don’t think we’ll see a star of that caliber.

Just finished No Sudden Move. It would be a damn shame if they couldn’t find a spot for Fraser. He’s sooo good. He’s so perfect for Bullock. Even just the sight of Brendan walking down the street with his now massive frame and sporting that fedora.

I'm of the mindset that a lot of actors are capable of a lot of stuff we wouldn't assume. Acting's their job and they've had years of training and experience in it. I have no doubt that with the right director, Fraser could show that edge.

I mean, there's a reason actors get typecast. I've seen nothing of his work that suggests he'd be right for either character. He was fine, I guess, in No Sudden Move, but the most memorable aspect about him was his weight gain.
