The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 2

Between Amber Heard's court trials and Ezra Miller's recent scandals, Warner Bros's PR team is going to have a field day promoting these films.

On top of Whedon's ****, Leto's set antics, Ayer being Ayer, Snyder-Bros... DCEU is cursed.

It's just that you came in here hoping to get some news about the actual movie but all everybody is discussing is the absolute train wreck that is Ezra Miller.
I took it as the suit is pretty meh/ugly. It's like a tv show version of the Panther suit... they failed on the cowl connection, the cowl mouth-hole. It's not hard to make an updated Returns meets 89 suit.

They're a runaway train heading over to whoopsieville, ya dig Sascrotch. :crso:

I know what we're all thinking... that casting director is never working for this studio again.

Snyder really knows how to pick um between the DC actors and the guy on his zombie Netflix movie having to replace altogether. How could WB even try to release this movie with Ezra at this point.

To be fair to Zack, WB had their chance to drop Ezra and strangely ploughed on with him.

That being said, I've always been fair to Zack but after everything that's happened, no one can argue against casting safe actors on such big projects again.

This situation genuinely has me worried about the film as I don't think this is anywhere near the end of this debacle. We'll be lucky to get a Sony type 90 minute hatchet job at this rate.

Actually what I was thinking was the last time I remember behavior like this from a celebrity, it was Chris Benoit. I have the same ominous feeling I did that weekend. I pray that I’m wrong.

Sure, but somebody has really liked Ezra att WB since he has been in that Fantastic Beast franchise etc.

Would anybody be surprised if this all ends with a confrontation between the feds and Ezra with Ezra jumping out of a plane mid-escape firing two golden handguns?

I've always wondered why they cast Miller as Barry Allen in the first place. Miller's best and most convincing performances have been as utterly slimy creeps. They must draw from a lot of IRL experience.

It’s kind of surreal that discussion about Keaton returning to play Batman after thirty years has been overshadowed by one actor’s scandals that seem to get crazier and more outrageous by the day….

Frankly, I always thought Keaton returning to play Batman at 70 years old was kinda dumb.

I've wanted Ezra Miller out of the Flash role since the Joss Whedon Justice League...

But not like this, definitely not like this. I hope that teenager is okay.

Definitely feel bad for everyone that worked on this film that had good intentions and were wanting their big break. I'm sure it's a bit devastating...

Warner Bros. execs clearly liked them and saw something in them at the time. Not sure what exactly. I think they probably wanted a younger, hipper Barry.

I've wanted them out since that security footage in BvS

This goes beyond financials and cinematic universes. WB cannot release a tentpole movie with a child rapist as its main star FFS.

Either reshoot the scenes, or shelve the movie.

WB may have contracts that stipulate that star x (like Michael Keaton) gets paid a % of the box office then shelving it complicates matters legally for them that they'd have to work out with all the stakeholders including theater chains. Though if I were Keaton I wouldn't want to be associated with this person (Miller) on-screen if I could help it at this point.
