Not sure why it's so hard for people to accept both.
Pretty ridiculous.

I don't see why he would be 'stung'. Maybe a tad disappointed at the most.
Who wouldn't want to star in their own Superhero movie in the age of Superhero movies. That's a bigger deal than even a successful CW show.

Believe me, he might not be as butt hurt enraged as Stephen Amell but he is more than a tad disappointed.

I enjoy these CW DC shows but I find a large section of the fanbase that supports them irritating and immature. They become abuse and have tantrums if things don't go the way they want them to go. The fact the lead actor on one of these shows had to reluctantly address their stupid behaviour doesn't do these 'fans' any favour.

I agree completely. A lot of them are embarrassing and I cringe while reading a lot of their posts.

No, Let me clarify. I agree that he would have been beyond happy if his role had carried over to the film because, as you said, who wouldn't?

But, if the argument over here is that there was an expectation on the part of the actor that the role would crossover to film and he is disappointed because that didn't pan out, I completely disagree with that notion.

Again... I think most actors are just happy to have a regular gig. I doubt that Gustin was expecting to get an automatic pass to WB tent pole blockbuster player when he landed the part of Barry on TV.

It's wildly unrealistic to expect the lead of a television series to also play the role in a big screen blockbuster film. How long do those things take to film? 8 months-ish? More, even? The kind of series Gustin is on start production each season in mid/late July and only wrap in April, with a few breaks in between. Do people want Gustin to never get any sleep? Do they want the show to halt production while the film is made? Or for the film to not be made until the series has wrapped? C'mon folks...

We're getting a Flash TV series and a Flash film. That's more than we thought we'd be getting a few years ago. Take the win.

Yeah it would be impossible for Gustin to make the movie and the show. He's the star of the show so he couldn't just take time off like a supporting player could.

Just watched "We need to talk about Kevin" again.
Ezra is a great actor.
Can't wait to see him as The Flash.

Well he probably is an idiot then. Every one in hollywood knows if you are an actor in tv series it will be nearly impossible to get yourself into film unless if you are that good. He probably knew that the cw show is just connected to the cw, nothing else long before he even played the role. :whatever:

You're projecting your own feelings on to the situation. He's an actor. He's got a manager. He's got an agent. He works with seasoned professionals. All of these people are aware of the realities of the business. If we as viewers knew that the DCTVU and the DCEU wouldn't be connected, you can be sure Gustin was well aware as well.

I'm definitely taking the win...hard.

It would be interesting if The Flash movie pulled a Civil War, and pretty much became JL 1.5, with a Justice Lords story line.

It would be nice to see a FLASHPOINT storyline... Jeffry Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne Batman would be badass!... It would also deal with FLASH vs Eobard Thawne - reverse flash story

I don't know about some of you but i want to see a Flash movie where he battles either Weather Wizard or Mirror Master.

I'm actually curious as to what WB's Untitled Event Film they have opening on March 2, 2018.
