I'm actually curious as to what WB's Untitled Event Film they have opening on March 2, 2018.

An event film on the 2nd and a big Spielberg film on the 30th?

Either Warner Bros is sandwiching the Flash or they plan to dominate March records for the foreseeable future providing that Batman v Superman performs well financially on the month of March especially Easter.

I don't think WB will front load two DC movies in one month. After doing some Googling, I think that 3/2/18 film will be that Dragonriders of Pern that's been in development since 2014. That's the only other film series that could be a potential tentpole for WB right now.

Borys Kit from THR says that the Untitled New Line Tentpole scheduled for April 20, 2018 could be in the vein of (or a sequel to) Dwayne Johnson's San Andreas.

I guess I got too excited...

Not a sequel to San Andreas but it could be Rampage as it starts filming this fall

I'm sure it stung Grant when he found out that the television and movie universes were separate, I mean how could it not? But I like the way he has handled things. I can't say the same for Amell but I don't like Arrow in the first place so whocares?
What did Amell say?

What did Amell say?

Nothing that bad, but people have managed to exaggerate his comment and blow it stupidly out of proportion ever since, and his comments have only been him standing up for the Flash show, and not from a selfish standpoint.

He thought it was kinda messed up that they announced the movie version the day after the show had only aired their second episode. Didn't say anything negative, just wasn't fond of the timing. People have been exaggerating, holding it against him, and wearing out the word "salty" for about a year and a half now.

Not only exaggerate it, but also change the very essence of what he was trying to say. In fact, in the very same interview he goes on to say how excited he is about the DCEU.

It's unfortunate that people feel the need to trash the shows and their actors at every given chance for the sake of propping up the films.

I too hate DC vs DC fights.

One love

It happens both ways though and I know it cause I have seen it. The supposed "brightness" of the TV series has and is often been used as a cudgel against what people IMAGINE the DCEU films to be.

And you know what, put me firmly in the camp that just feels having actually SEEN the product that CW and CBS has produced (as opposed to judging the DCEU on one movie seen by the public so far) that my opinion on the DCTV show is not coming from a place of ignorance nor is it formed because I want to "prop up" anything. I genuinely feel that the shows are too reliant on formula, have too much sloppy writing and too many terrible casting choices. And it is my honest opinion that those things get a pass because the shows have done a good job of giving us, considering the resources, well done super hero action. But super hero action makes up a tiny minority of the show's run times and after they are over we still have to deal with the sub par actors and lazy and sloppy writing which undermines the characters far too often.

 Though i've recently started watching the Flash and it's not that bad tbh. (Only saw a few episodes prior) It's Stephen Amell's comments and CW fans whining about Ezra is what originally turned me off on the show.

Understand... I don't WANT to think these things about the Berlanti shows, especially since they have quite a few aspects to recommend. Grant Gustin is really good as the CW version (and let's be clear... it is the CW version more than it's some comic accurate representation since Barry in the comics doesn't need an uplifting speech every episode or to be told about some scientific principle that can help him defeat his enemies... But I digreess...) of the character, Jesse L. Martin is great as Joe and as I said they seem to do well with action as well as their over all season long arc. Indeed the season long mystery of ZOOM is what is currently keeping me coming back to the show each week right now.

But I cannot do what I feel others do, which is give the show a pass on underwhelming writing, characterization and casting as is the case too often, simply because they give us King Shark or Grodd once in a while.

Eh. I disagree with a large amount of that, but you're at least not doing the "flame one side of things to prop up the other", so I'll let it slide.

That was a close one...

Yeah, I enjoy The Flash, but some of the writing is just awful at times. The freak-of-the-week villains are typically underwhelming, and I hate how Barry always seems to abandon logic and forget how his powers work whenever encountering a new enemy. The crossover stuff with Arrow was exceptionally bad this season; he basically stands by and lets a bunch of characters without powers or with inferior powers to his own (the Hawks) face off against a guy whose only special skill is apparently knife throwing. I mean, seriously?

That aside though, I do like Gustin and most of the other cast members a lot and the overarching stories with the Reverse Flash and Zoom have been really cool. I can't stomach Arrow anymore though. Good God did that show turn awful.

Blaim Guggenheim and his weird love for Felicity and the shippers.

It's not even Felicity that bothers me. I personally think EBR is among the most talented people on the show, and I don't mind the "Olicity" stuff. It's everything else. Oliver somehow falling to his death and miraculously surviving with no explanation. The whole "Brick" storyline, in which Merlyn -- a guy who killed 500 innocent people -- can't bring himself to kill the guy who murdered his wife. Ray Palmer and his stupid Fisher Price Iron Man suit. Laurel trying to act like a badass. Damien Darkh stopping arrows in mid air. All the boring flashback crap in China and on the island. It's so sh**ty. I gave up on it.

I gave up myself also and now i just watch every once and a while when something important happens and then go back and watch Flash or Legends.

I stopped watching during s3. I'm open to returning to the show, I love the Arrow family, but the villain and plot this season isn't grabbing me. I'm loving Supergirl, Flash and LOT tho

Okay....

So, Reverse-Flash/Professor Zoom in the first movie, guys?
