filmmaker driven doesn't mean WB just backs off and lets the director do what ever the hell they want

thats how you get zack snyder's sucker punch

Going back to my pick of Doug Liman.

With how much Peyton works with The Rock they probably will push him toward Shazam if anything (if that happens)

And my earlier post was exactly for people like Jokes. Who are pretending the writer of Pride & Prejudice and Zombies and who was going to direct for the very first time is a major loss.

Didn't i just say that i don't give a damn about Seth? I don't give a flying **** about that guy or his future in hollywood, this just looks bad for DC in my opinion, that's all. ;)

Eh, why give a **** about how it looks at all? All that matters is that this is a good thing.

Grahame-Smith first became attached to the film in October, speeding past candidates that included WB’s original choice, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who are still on as producers.

We’re told Grahame-Smith will remain involved in the production despite leaving the director’s chair, and that an immediate search for a replacement is under way headed up by Lord and Miller.

There should be trouble behind the scenes. Not like "Let's cancel the DC universe!" trouble, but if they're not reevaluating and taking a closer look at things post-BVS, then we're all screwed.
Exactly, there should be turmoil behind the scenes.

I think Brad Peyton probably will get Shazam, he's proven he can direct a big budget film with San Andreas.

I wonder if Rawson Marshall Thurber might be good for The Flash, he's directed We're the Millers and the upcoming Central Intelligence for New Line, the latter which is an action comedy and he was on the short list for Ant-Man before they got Peyton Reed.

I agree, it's a great thing, so many talented and more importantly experienced directors to choose from than him.

Before, Mclaren left WB and WW 3 weeks before the announcement was made, giving WB ample time to find a replacement fast and have some damage control to their newly formed brand, i'm guessing a similar situation is happening here.

Flash is 2018 there's no need to rush. WW was going into production a few months later that's the reason they waited like a week to get Jenkins.

We'll never know how long WB sat on the news that MacLaren had left Wonder Woman, it's likely they was a disclosure agreement not to leak the news until a certain date.

Yeah, I wanted to say this, but forgot. I don't believe we'll hear of new director anytime soon, they can take their time with it. And they shouldn't rush it if that means settling for worse choice just to have a director attached as soon as possible. Take it slowly WB, look for options...

lord and miller were so perfect for this too bad star wars picked them up

Were you a huge fan of the RJ Burger episodes he directed or something? Lets not play games here, he was an odd duck in this list of directors.

Also WB aren't "that" stupid, there will be some retooling going on now. BvS under-performed and is frankly a pop culture joke at this point. Thinking over letting a first time director do your big budget Flash movie is one of the smartest things that WB has done lately. I wish he weren't the only DC director let go.

I think the only thing saving Snyder's job is that JL is coming out next year instead of 2018 or 2019.

As i've said in the JL boards, get a comedy director, the Flash should be a fun film.

There's a difference between "fun" and "funny" jokes. :oldrazz:

I never got behind this idea that a comedy director would be fitting for Flash, to tell you the truth.
