Yeah, all the unintelligent attractive girls that claim they are nerds like him, and don't know nothing about it. The fact is, for some reason, people right think they're cool if they like Batman. I don't get it. Then I get harassed for liking Spider-man better, and I just laugh at them because they only watch Nolan Batman movies and really know nothing about the character.I'm just tired of the new Batman trend. We've had discussions here about this, and yes, Batman has always been popular, and always will be. But ever since TDK trilogy, it feels like he is everywhere.
While I also can't get over that casting decision, I don't think its fair to say the film will be garbage just yet. We honestly don't know anything about this movie other than Batman being in it.
I think its too soon to have a Batman/Superman crossover. If MOS was far more successful critically and box office wise, we would simply be getting MOS2. But WB knows that adding Batman to the mix will give them huge box office results, so they want to shove him in the next movie in order to sell more movie tickets.
I can see a conversation like this happening at a WB board meeting:
WB executive: "Man of Steel was a disappointment. What do we do?"
Executive #2: "Well, we could just make another Superman movie and give it our best."
*Everyone in the room laughs*
Executive #3 "Well, people really love Batman now. Why not throw him in the next movie? People will want to see that."
Executive #1 "Okay, cool! Let's forget that this is a Superman series and focus more on Batman. Then we will be one step closer to a Justice League movie."
Executive #2: "Who should we cast as Batman?"
Executive #3: "Does it matter? Just put Ben Affleck or someone in the costume, people will see it anyway."
Executive #1: "Then its a done deal!"

I think Affleck was an odd choice, but I'm not saying the movie is going to suck because of that. I will give it a fair chance, but I personally feel that putting Batman in the movie was a recent decision after WB saw the negative response of MOS.Batman vs superman will make big money, I think judging it on one actor by and saying it will be ripped apart by critics is silly

Guys...Batman/Superman was the plan all along. Affleck was approached earlier this year and their were rumors about him playing Batman last year.
Exactly. Obviously they would plan on putting Batman in a JLA film from the beginning, but I don't think a Batman/Superman film was always planned.Probably for a JL movie after MOS2
Its clear they are now unwilling to take a risk on another Solo Superman movie after two of them failed in a row
