TASM2 will kill overseas... but I'll be keeping an eye on the domestic haul. In my opinion, anything under a $120 million bow would be disappointing.

I will more than likely raise my prediction before the film hits. I think it, Transformers and How to Train Your Dragon 2 have the best chance at a billion.

just think transformers 3 made $1,123,794,079 and is 36% on rotten tomatoes, and people are predicting Transformers 4 will likely do just as well

it all depends whether spidey has this power also that people will ignore certain reviews and even then i ain't sure they need too... most reviews even if they have some negatives words they still say the films alot of Fun and ticks quite alot of the right boxes

obviously some will be dramatic about it, because its a reboot that sony did to keep the rights and there are gonna be people who want to see that fail

Nothing much to say since the movie hasn't opened. But I do agree in general with Spidey and Messiah above about how the numbers will play out. Domestically around the same if not a bit more than the first. Overseas, it will increase just unsure how much. So that means $850-900M WW depending on the increases.

Domestic: 262M
Overseas: 490M
Mr. Worldwide: 752M

Assuming the DOM and OS numbers stay roughly the same, which isn't likely, all this movie has to do to break 800M is have a big OW.

A 112M OW followed by the same DOM and OS numbers generates 800M. Now, if the DOM and OS go up cumulatively by 200M, there's your billion ladies and gentlemen. The trick is figuring out the proportions. A 130-140M increase OS and 60-70M DOM increase could be the right ratio? Who knows.

Meaning it has to cross the 900 million mark no wonder why they feel it can hit 1 billion.This has transformers revenge of the fallen/ Dark of the moon kind of money backing it.

It has to go a lot higher than that as studios don't get 1/2 of oversees takes. It's a tad less than 3x WW I think was the proper calculation. Sony doesn't have merchandising rights for this either so they put too much money into this one. If this gets anything less than 1B WW (what Sony wants to happen) then it's a fail. Sony can't afford to lose money either.
