Especially after making the Spidey suit as close to the classic version as possible, I don't think they'd make a Green Goblin that has literally nothing in common with the Green Goblin. The designers must be confused as ****.

Here is the thing too, at this point, If they made a faithful realistic interpretation of the comic look, and didnt even explain it, I wouldnt care, just say hes crazy. DONE. Everyone would just say , HEY THATS GREEN GOBLIN. They can even make him transform into THAT look, give him green scaly skin, make his ears grow, give him yellow eyes and sharp teeth, Who would complain!? well everyone, but we all would love it.

Actually I was referring to Devin Faraci spreading that whole "Ang Lee Hulk origin" thing. I think the Proto-Goblin thing was just speculation because Ratha's character used to have the name "Van Adder"

To be fair, we still don't really know what's going on with the origin. A lot was chopped from the first film. I'm still not buying that Richard experimented on his own son, but that door hasn't technically closed yet.
