I wouldn't be bummed about it because people will record the panel and hearing about info on it helps me.

To be fair he didn't do himself any favours

He said he was severely disappointed in the movie but never gave any reasons whatsoever
You do that at a time when anticipation is at its high and you are asking to be crucified

He would have been fine had he given a few reasons(Pacing,action,chemistry.....whatever)

He was under an embargo?

RIM was a good guy, but he really couldn't handle criticism very well... and often felt like we should be grateful for whatever he had to say, almost entitled. Which was a shame.

He should come back some day. he just needed to grow a thicker skin

Not really. I saw the mods step in repeatedly to warn people about tearing down RIM because they didn't like his opinion. At that point people hadn't seen the movie and RIM had. Some people not being able to handle him not liking it doesn't strike me as criticism.

I don't hate RIM but the whole "This movie sucks" and running away thing really bothered me. He gave no explanation to anything. He told us it was like Green Lantern and left.

If he stayed he would have been questioned to death. He gave us what we wanted, his overall opinion. Said it sucked, and left. He couldn't reveal why he thought that, so that's why he left. Why do people not understand that?

We wanted an answer and because it wasn't the one we wanted, everyone bashed him. Such a mistake on the board's behalf.

oh he could have easily said some vague reasoning without spoiling squat.

he acted like a child over it. And got flustered too easily. Yes some people are on the boards are jackasses, but you also need to learn to grow some thick skin on here. It was far more his fault for leaving then the boards, considering he's the one who decided to leave.

which... calling it "green lantern" was a very bad comparison. I don't even think people who didn't care for this film would have compared it to that. He stirred the pot and then ran away when it boiled and he got burnt
