Over 1.2 billion worldwide and an A+ on Cinema score, yep the general audience will forget that movie alright :whatever:

That doesn't mean it wasn't forgettable, or rather, lacking.

TDKR made over a billion dollars at the box office, but it still, from fans and GA alike, gets a muddle/mixed response.

Point is, its similar enough where one could draw that comparison, but its also different enough where one probably won't care that much while watching, nor call it a rip off after the fact.

It'll be cool if they did one for Spider-man in the same way as Electro's teaser . Just Peter saying something about his life and then a shot of him swinging at the end. Short but exciting.

This. I mean, I'll be honest: ASM definitely had some issues, but none that, objectively speaking, ruined the movie.

And most who say differently are just being petty, or just too nitpicky for their own good.

I understand the complaints of some, particularly those who just felt it wasn't different enough from SM1 (even Webb admitted that about the origin), but most just come off as hating to hate, and nitpicking it to death to make themselves right, and find more reason to hate it.

I just didn't like TASM, both with some issues and as a whole. Don't be so generalizing. I'm far from a "hater" or a nitpicker, infact I consider myself the opposite of all that, being generally open minded and forgetting. :)

People like and dislike different things, deal with it. As a fan of many things that are pretty much generally disliked among geeks (Prequel Trilogy, Avatar etc.) I've learned this.

I loved Iron Man 3 myself and wouldn't compare it to the dark knight rises in the least but to each his own

You seem to think there are people who just hate TASM for hate's sake. Granted that might be true but have you ever considered that it's not a great movie by all means and that there are people who didn't enjoy it because it was a flawed movie?????

According to you there are three types of people who hate TASM:
1)The Raimi fanboys
2)People who hate it because it's a reboot
3) The GA

In his defense, the majority of people who hated it WERE Raimi fanboys and people who hated it because it was a reboot.

The GA was, for the most part, acceptive.

And honestly, those who disliked it PURELY because it was flawed, and not including revisting the origin, is a minority. A very small minority at that.

they really are making electro powerful, it seems what we are seeing of him is mild to just how powerful he really is

I never said it was a rip off but there are similarities. That's just how I see it bro. The electricity running under electro's skin just reminded me of the extremis virus running under Savin's skin because you can see the veins and other stuff :o

Isn't that still making generalities though?

Oh I understand. Like I said, there are many with valid complaints about the movie and good reasons for why they didn't enjoy it as much as they wanted, but I personally find that a good majority didn't like it for reasons, such as the redone origin, that just seem petty or nitpicky.

lol TASM has the same score as SM2 on RT. That puts it in the top 15 for sure

Oh I understand that. I drew that comparison too.

The only thing I hope ASM 2 adds is more of the goofy stuff. The Electro promo was alright but I hope he doesn't play it too serious.

People overuse the facepalm on here. FN Spider-Man isn't really far off.

Believe me, TASM has detractors. People who crap talk the movie over the stupidest, most insignifcant little details you can imagine, spinning anything and everything into something to be percieved under a negative light. When some people say GR: SOV was a better film, you know that movie has it's back to the wall.

I love Avatar!

You have no evidence to support the fact that the majority of people who dislkied it are Raimi faboys

This movie was far from great, it was good and could have been better if they hadn't re-told the origin story and adding nothing new at all. There was no "Untold Story" and this movie was basically a 2 hour trailer for the sequel.

This guy pretty much sums up my overall thoughts on TASM

People are so ******** over Superman killing zod. People on this forum are calling Into Darkness a wrath of khan rip off. People get ******** over reboots

a blank white screen, well i hope one day to have blank white thoughts over something

"I can feel it in the walls.
I feel it in my veins.
No matter what you do, Doc, you can't contain it.
You wanna know how powerful I am?
Well, I wanna know too.
I'm Electro."

That piece of footage was so dope. I am so excited right now, it's ridiculous. I loved his voice and he still looks menacing. Love it.

So based on the dialogue, I am guessing he's at Ravencroft and Doc is possibly referring to Kafka which means that they are attempting to "contain" his electricity with the suit they are making for him.

"Well I wanna know too..." damn! Electro just wants to f**k s**t up, lol. I can totally see him becoming blinded by his powers and going all evil on everyone's a$$.

Witty Spidey, new villain, new tone (less cheesy), new universe, new love interest, new chracters, Webshooters....

He's in Oscorp. :)

You can tell that he'll be sympathetic to a point and then just lose it over the power he has and be consumed by it which goin to look crazy and then there'll be no sympathetic anything afterwords.
