He's the guy who player the character in the 70's tv series (some episodes were later transformed into tv movies)

Seriously, people said that?

I think I remember reading that. The author was pre-judging the movie based on set photos and rumors. I'm sorry, but where does he get "Marc Webb's lack of imagination" from?

Who cares? If someone is that misinformed or ignorant do they really need to be given any attention? Why worry about what they think?

Seriously, people said that?

I remember a very few people were freaking out over set shots of Chris Evans 'hobbit' bare feet in Captain America (for the running scenes after he got suped up), so I can beleive that there are people who look at set shots of obviously unfinished suits, costumes etc, and think that's exactly what they are gonna get on screen.

Apparently, this flawed thinking getting proven wrong time & again remains insufficient stimulus to activate the matter they have in their heads passing for brain cells.

I remember people were criticizing Paul Giamatti because of his pre-CGI Rhino suit. Its not like its called "Pre-CGI" because CGI will be added later on in post-production. :whatever:

Based on the writers, it looks like Spidey will die then get revived. :o

ahahaha sorry i just added that in -___- my bad bro sorry:doh: but yeah he was pre juding the film and also do people remember when during the chase scene people legit thought that rhino was just going to be some guy in a truck? that really ticked me off

I think that's what will happen with Gwen Stacy actually.

What are you sorry for? I meant the writer claimed Webb lacked imagination... I remember reading that. Its just ridiculous.

As long as he doesn't jog off a bullet wound I'm fine. :oldrazz:
lol

yeah i mean seriously? its so dumb how missed informed or just blatant writers can be on tasm 2. like do they really think that rhino is just going to show up and be born rhino. like do you really think rhino is some dude in a truck?

True. Main reason why I try to ignore Devin Fararci.

Devin actually had semi-positive things to say about the comic-con footage for ASM 2. And he says that his sources are reporting that Sony got things right this time. So I would say there's a chance he might like or at least tolerate the sequel haha.

So Webb and co have said many times that they've embraced the lunacy of Spider-man's world for this one and have pushed the level of humor (particularly physical humor like the subway scene in ASM) to the extreme.

There will be physical comedic beats inspired by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. Peter's bedroom will be a rotating set.
Paul Giamatti's role in the film will also be one to play up the film's level of humor.

This prospect is both exciting and definitely makes me curious to see how it will turn out on screen. That being said, I personally found there were hit and misses in ASM's humor. The subway scene was decent enough, but felt a bit flat overall.

How you guys feel about Webb and co. embracing a more humorous and comic book aspect for ASM2, relative to how those humor beats were executed in the previous film?

Yeah. Hammond would be great for a cameo. Tobey would be too distracting. Maybe years from now when a couple of other actors have been and gone as Spidey it would be nice, but right now it would be too much of an elephant in the room to see him cameo I think.

The subway scene in TASM was great! One of my favorite scenes in the movie.... didn't think it fell flat. But the humor in TASM2 seems great, and I think it is a good direction to go in. I imagine the first act of the film will be light hearted and humorous, but after the introduction of Norman and the transformation of Max Dillon to Electro... things will get dark. Not too dark, but we will get a more serious movie.

I wonder if this film will put Spidey back on the map in the same way The Dark Knight put Batman back.

I think a lighter "charm" to the film would be great. I don't want it to feel like an action comedy where they try too hard.

From what we've seen and heard though, I think they're on the right track.
