Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I do believe the film will open like that. It seems appropriate.

He could be looking at his watch nervously, wondering how long until they land because they're paranoid about Norman's goons or assassins pursuing them.

Man I can imagine this scene being really cool and also really sad. :(

You may be spot on bro.

Thanks!

I feel like the intro to this film will be really intense. As you guys said before, it will probably transition to Spidey falling and then web slinging his way to Aleksei, which will lead to a comical scene (Spidey pulling his pants down).

It could be a way of giving us something light-hearted after seeing Peter's parents die.

It could also be a cool way of showing how sad Peter's life and background is/was before he got a more confident personality because of his powers.

Just my two cents. :)

I suspect it will be a fun action scene at the start of the film, just after the stuff with peters parents which i'm even more curious about now after watching that video by SevenWebHeads

"Everyone has a part of themselves they hide. Even from the people they love the most. And you don't have forever. None of us ever do."

This is Aunt May's speech from the SDCC footage.

So ready for that Superbowl spot... not much longer to wait.

I suspect she knows he is the webhead.

Same here.

On a similar note, I have to say I'm really enjoying the marketing campaign this time around. The posters (the three villain banner and the two recent solo posters of Spidey and Electro being the best, and the latter two quite possibly being my all-time favorite Spidey film posters), the trailers, the viral marketing, little nods to fans, the DB site, and all of Hans Zimmer's tidbits have been so enjoyable for me. I've never followed a Spider-man film like this one. I was a youngster when the first two Raimi films came out (and I lacked internet). And I was the MCU fanboy screaming "give the rights back to Marvel!" when TASM was in production. I was completely against it. But when I saw it, I loved it. I've never had to eat my words when it comes to whether or not I'll enjoy a film before. But I did with TASM. So to finally get to ride the hype-train from start to finish with a Spider-man movie is basically a new experience for me. And I'm enjoying myself. :)

Picard, were you the one who speculated that the movie might start with Richard Parker looking at a clock/watch?

I mean I don't know if I'm the first person to come up with that theory, but I did speculate here that it could start with Richard Parker looking at his watch.

 I knew it was you. Great theory though.:woot:

Did Sony purchase a 30 minute spot or 1 minute for the Super Bowl?
