but seriously, i hope no one believes that Peter is turning around to listen to "We have plans for you". trailers dub audio from other parts of the movie all the time.

I'm sure the audio is taken out of context for the trailer and dubbed over a Peter Parker reaction shot.

It could just be TMITS talking to Peter indirectly while spying on him, perhaps? It could fit into the post-credits sequence maybe?

I have a few ideas. One is that it's towards the beginning, with a flashback showing that Norman has set up surveillance on Peter when he was young. He's talking to himself.


My second idea is that Spider-man beats Harry at the clock tower, and hears something through the bluetooth ears. He picks them up and Norman speaks to him.


The third is that it's right before Harry visits Norman on his deathbed. Norman is watching footage of Peter and says the line.


My final idea is that it's not actually in the film at all, which would be quite disappointing.

A whole bunch of lines weren't in the final film for TASM1, and now "We have plans for you, Peter Parker" might not even be in in TASM2???

That seems a bit excessive.

Well I think the case with TASM1 was that it had a last minute re-edit, and a lot of things ended up on the editing room floor. I don't think this will be the case with TASM2 though.

No. Either because they're saving that plot for sequels or they got rid of it completely.

What made the TS footage terrible is the poor editing job it got. The took a daytime shot of Spider-Man swinging and turned it to nighttime without putting any lights in the windows behind him.
