I know. It might be a critics screening though. I hope not. They'll get me to sign one of those forms and I won't be able to say anything. -__- I really really hope it's not in 3D this time.

You mad?:o:funny:

nop:o

I am currently reading "The Gathering of the Sinister Six," and I can safely say that the Gentleman is not someone you want to mess with. Heck, he is not someone you would even want to associate yourself with in any way. If he wants you killed, he can snap his fingers and make things happen, y'know? I really, REALLY hope that TMITS turns out to be him. Here are some things about the book that I feel could help inspire the writers for the S6 film:

Although Spider-Man does have a strong role in the novel, it heavily revolves around the formation of the Sinister Six. Mysterio wants to do his own thing, so recruiting him is the biggest challenge. The Gentleman has the Chamelion working for him, going around recruiting other potential members for the villainous group in order to take down Spider-Man. The Gentleman is responsible for killing Richard and Mary Parker, and now he holds a grudge against their son, Peter, and is fully aware that he is Spider-Man. He has been watching him for some time now.

Yes you are ;):o

So you think Masse is playing the gentleman?

It could very well be the case. If TMITS isn't the Gentleman, then I'd imagine his character is at least inspired by that character.

That'd be very cool. Still doesn't explain how he magically transported in Conner's cell in TASM though.:oldrazz::o

Well, yes and no. If he is indeed the Gentleman, there are multiple explanations for how he could have "transported" out of Connor's cell in TASM1. For example, he used Mysterio to create the illusion that he was there at all. This character has close ties with Quentin Beck, so I could totally see that happening, especially now that they are going in the S6 route.

So you think Quetin already exists in this universe? I could totally see your theory happening. I mean unless TMITS has superpowers, Quentin is the only logical explanation here like you said.

If a character like the Gentleman have been around for many years, this means that there could have been other super villains pre-existing Spider-Man as well.

So far, we've never had a Spider-Man film where super villains existed before the creation of Spider-Man, so having someone like Mysterio already existing would be a nice touch.

Well the funny thing is Marc replied"What about The Gentleman?" It makes very much since and explains how he did it and let me say I am very excited now all thanks to Picard and now pieces are connecting itself and the gears are turning

No problem. I mean, the Gentleman is the whole reason why Peter's parents were killed in the first place, and that fits entirely in this film series.

I highly recommend you check out that book and its two sequels. Only downside to this and other Spider-Man novels is that sometimes its difficult to visualize the fight sequences because they are so complex.

and people say Marc doesn't pay attention the source material :o
Thanks man yeah I will definitely be reading this

I'm certain he pays attention to the source material, but he just takes certain liberties with it to fit his universe. The scene where Peter finds his father's briefcase and Aunt May says, "Your father was a very secretive man, Peter" was pretty much taken from Annual 5. Only in that comic, he finds a big crate with newspaper clippings about his parents being spies instead of a photo of Richard and Dr. Connors.

I re-read Ultimate Spider-Man recently, and there were SEVERAL things taken from that series, too.

 So perharps other supervillains have been captured or are being forced to work with or for the Gentlemen. I could see other supervillains being the result of failed experiments and being held in captive by Oscorp.

I've nticed somethings from ultimate as well but you can tell he's fusing these storyline from tasm and usm together

Its possible that other super villains are already present in those 6 chambers. Ooh, that gave me goosebumps.

He is using the 616 comic books, USM, TSSM and the MTV animated series, and now the Spider-Man novels (which are technically part of the 616 but still…)
