Completely agree with you about Dane, absolutely loved him in Chronicle and I really think he has a bright future as an actor.

Admittedly, I'm not much of a Chris Cooper fan as I was one of the few that was originally rooting for Michael Massee to get the role of Norman Osborn, however to each their own! (y)

Whoops, I missed this post. Maybe take a look at October Sky, Breach, and Adaptation. Those are the movies that made me such a huge fan. The man has some serious talent. Also, his role in Breach is very intimidating. Something I think could translate to Norman.

What if Norman never becomes Goblin? Everyone seems to be really taking this one for granted.

Will do, thanks for the recommendations. :yay:

I wouldn't complain, but I know A LOT of people would.

I'd honestly be fine with Dane being the permanent Goblin in this series.

The Guardians trailer may have made me a Marvel fan. Grew up a DC fan. Support Affleck as Batman. Willing to give Gal Gadot a shot at Wonder Woman. Nearly had a heart attack at Jesse Eisenberg cast as Lex Luthor.

Jesse as Lex has really, really made me lost interest in Superman/Batman. The Guardians trailer hits and I'm sold. If Marvel announces a Hulk movie for Phrase 3, I'm taking my talents to Marvel.

Hehe.

i imagine the serum gives him strength etc., but the suit augments it further. maybe it is what gives him the advantage overall.

or the suit is more to do with the tech side of things and allow proper control of the glider. it also could offer protection, incomplete as it is.

as for people not liking the look, i'm not sure i understand the recent outcry seeing as this is not the first picture we have of harry goblin.

as for people complaining in general and bringing up norman, i really do believe that he will be the green goblin in the next film. harry's incomplete tech is a foreshadowing of a perfected goblin later on. i wouldn't be surprised if he is very close to 616 goblin in the end: perfected serum and therefore a mask (especially if norman is thought dead) and a completed suit.

but yeah, if they had wanted harry to be the true green goblin they wouldn't have made his suit so obviously incomplete. webb is all about the foreshadowing.

:up: I know you're trying to stay away from the forum to focus on work (or was it school?), Repulsor. But what's your opinion on Harry GG? I can't remember if you gave yours or not.

There is definitely a plan for Norman in the 3rd, it just depends what that plan is, but whatever it is I think he will be involved in a big way

I've about had it with marvel studios and their fans who seems to have a marvel is superior in every way complex and any movie not made by marvel sucks and its making me hate marvel alot and esp them being on their high horses

then that poster saying "you're welcome" marvel is getting cocky and I don't like cocky studios

If he was it in terms of the green goblin, i.e. no norman ever and the look would remain throughout all sequels, i would be disappointed.

that said, i think i would be over it by now; the poster where we got our first look at him came out ages ago.

so i totally understand the complaints about the look itself, but i think there's a bigger picture re. norman and tasm3. if norman looks bad, then i will probably voice my disdain.

If he doesn't I'll be extremely disappointed at Chris Cooper's talents not being fully taken advantage of. The reason we take it for granted is that he says he's coming back and will have more of an action role ('green screen' "bigger/better things"). On top of that, Harry seems to be trying to save Norman who, apparently, has taken the serum at some point, resulting in his condition. So it only seems logical that they not waste him and go the direction the story is seemingly allowing. We'll be able to speculate better AFTER the film's release of course.

Hehe.

I'm excited to see what Affleck can bring to Batman, as I'm one of the few who actually liked him as Daredevil.

Agreed about Eisenberg, I can't get into that casting choice.

I think the you're welcome is supposed to be ironic, given that the text on top is "GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY"

it's like, look, here are the people that are protecting you, you're welcome.

I don't really read it as marvel being arrogant, just because the guardians themselves are like rock stars in space.

@ Repulsor that may be true but that's the first way I took it esp with all the marvel fan boys but I may have taken wrong since I was getting reaaall fed up with them

I don't think it's cocky at all. Like Repulsor said, they are guarding the galaxy, you're welcome. Or... it's a movie with a tree thing with a talking raccoon, thus you're welcome.

I do love the MCU. But their fanboys are getting increasingly worse. That comes with the territory, though.

I don't think Marvel Studios is perfect. I feel like they movies range from great to ok.

Iron Man = great
Incredible Hulk = good
Iron Man 2 = ok
Thor = ok
Captain America = good
Avengers = great
Iron Man 3 = ok
Thor 2 = ok

I am pumped for Winter Soldier. When that film was announced, I thought if done right it could be Marvel's best film and a Marvel Studios film that could be up there with The Dark Knight because I love the Winter Soldier storyline and there is greatness if done right.

I don't think any movie not made by Marvel doesn't suck. I think The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 2 are better than Avengers. I do think if Days of Future Past was done right it would be great but it seems too Wolverine focused again. Also the Sentinels look terrible. I mean they look bad. Fantastic Four reboot, I'm meh about. Like Jordan as Torch but I prefer to see them go back to Marvel because I want to see Doom against the Avengers. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 looks average so far. There are strong things going for it but some not so strong.

I love the "You're Welcome". What are you giving me DC? Jesse as Lex? You expect me to say thank you? No, instead **** you for that.

@ GR LEVIKUTZ I can understand that but its porbably i've been hearing too many "give the rights back to marvel" or just TASM2 being crapped on in which today it struck a nerve and I should learn to read news and go on but instead i'm reading what others think I have to say the internet is having a field day with Harry Goblin

I just think it's unfair when people say DC sucks because all there movies are terrible.
Umm the only true DC cinematic universe movie we have is Man of Steel and IMO it was say better than nearly all of Marvels stand alone films. Quality or quantity.

Iron Man = awesome
Incredible Hulk = Pretty bad..but it's near impossible to make a good hulk movie
Iron Man 2 = okay
Thor = Not good imo
Captain America = Pretty boring
Avengers = awesome
Iron Man 3 = okay
Thor 2 = Too comedic, couldn't take the "serious bits" serious.

DC
Man of Steel- Awesome.
Oh and when people say DC are rushing it..they have one movie and are making a second 3 years after it..how is that rushing it?

I know people say it's rushing because they are bringing it Batman but I feel that would be the natural progression of the story line. Of course bats would go to Metropolis to see what this alien is doing. I seriously doubt he would start thinking, "oh no i'll just wait another year then i'll go check him out". No he would more than likely jump into his bat plane and go see whats what.

With wonder woman..I think it's to early to tell how she will be involved in this story.

I'm just sick and tired of everyone thinking it's a justice league movie when it's obviously a Man of Steel sequel.

Was TDKR a Justice League movie because it had Batman AND Catwoman? NO!

Sorry, i know this is a spider man forum..
