This is definitely going to the cinema sins video. I don't think that it is as impossible as you think. Peter's hand and the coffee mug seem to be on the same height, so if you manage to pull the mug very fast, then i think that the coffee can not be spilt.

I think what bothers them is the change in inertia from rapid motion in the air to the sudden stop in Peter's hand.

The principle that kills Gwen should have spilled "HOT LATTE" all over Peter.

But it's a Spider-Man movie. I can not only forgive it, I love it.

Damn, you think that's some kind of foreshadowing? Or a reference to the way Gwen died in the comics? How awesome would that be?
