I have a few questions, I've seen the movie but I forgot some stuff.
1.Does Harry know Peter is spider-man, I assume he does because he kills gwen but i'm not sure.
2.How did Harry get caught, the last thing I remember was him having web around his neck
3.I don't remember if this was explained in the movie, but what happened to Electro, was he defeated I was a bit confused because he just disappeared.

1. He knows when he gets to the power plant. He sees Gwen and connects the dots basically.
2. He gets knocked out my falling debre. Then ends up in Ravencroft.
3. It's not really said in the movie if he is dead or not but in an interview Jaime Foxx said, "Electricity never dies, it just goes somewhere else." So take from that what you want.
:yay:

Thinking of posting why I think ASM2 is better than SM2 though some will be like "How dare you say any Spidey film is better than SM2" and some who havn't seen ASM2 will be like "yea SM2 was s***, ASM2 is wayyy better"

You should post it regardless. Doesn't matter what view you hold really as there are always posters out there willing to tell you that your views are the wrong one. You shouldn't let what others think stop you from expressing your thoughts.

^This.

I'm most likely still going to prefer SM2 over TASM2, but people should be able to post their opinions without getting attacked! Debating is fine as long as it doesn't get ugly and/or personal. Message boards are for discussion and expression of one's opinion, yes?

Also, if SM2 fans don't want to even see an opinion like "TASM2 is better than SM2," then maybe they shouldn't visit a message board entirely dedicated to TASM2, haha.

In the Update Garfield vs Maguire poll Andrew Lucas voted Garfield and hasn't even seen the movie. Fudgie voted Maguire without having seen ASM2.

Honestly, fanboyism is the worst thing on the internet.

I know what you mean, but go for it. I'd love to read your thoughts on the matter as a fellow TASM2 supporter.

As would I. It never hurts having another positive review up in here! :D

Guys, what's the track that ends the film on the album? I'm talking about the piece when Spidey reveals himself after months of being gone all the way through the title reveal? Is that even on the soundtrack?

You're That Spider Guy.

It's On Again follows it into the credits.

Do you get that triumphant reprise of the main theme in "You're That Spider Guy"?

Love the avatar by the way. Gosh, she's lovely.

Yes, from 4.10 to 4.40. And thanks, she is.

Trust me, I know. I've already seen one or two people who haven't seen the movie try and dismiss some of my own criticisms out of hand (I did like it overall though). Whether for or against there will always be those fans who just want to hear or see what they want.

However as long as the majority of fans/visitors to this board are open to an open discussion then I'll still visit and post here.

I love Raimi's Spider-Man 2, but just like Green Goblin describes on his signature, I feel that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 can be the Spider-Man film I've always wanted to see, judging from the trailers and the reactions and reviews of individuals I trust.

Regardless, I can't remember feeling this excited as a Spider-Man fan in my entire life.

Don't go in with hopes like that. By the sounds of it, the movie is good... But not among the ranks of SM2. It's better to be pleasantly surprised if you end up loving it. It may be the definitive Spider-Man CBM for you.

IMHO ASM2 is a better Spider-Man movie than SM2 as it has a better SPIDER-MAN.

It's how I feel about everything related to The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Joe. I don't feel I need to lower my expectations, especially after many people weighed in and reassured any fear whatsoever I could have.

See? Post like this from users that I've been checking their opinions for years even if from a lurker stand point is what makes me confident about TASM2.

Then you have people like The Joker who give it a 6/10 and gave a full detailed review while listing a ton of problems he had. Not to mention the 14 critics that decided it was "rotten". Just be careful is all I'm saying, don't want you to be disappointed because you went in thinking it would be the best Spider-Man movie of all time. Hope you do love it that much though, cheers mate!

Thank you mate but don't worry, the majority of those who didn't like it have showed me time and time again how their opinions don't align with mine, so when I see mixed reviews from people like The Joker I see them as a glowing positive instead of a negative. For every critic that didn't like it, there are people like the reviewers that gave glowing reviews, claiming it's not only the best Spidey film, but one of the best Marvel films ever. I feel my expectations are already quite in check. Nine days to go now. :woot:

15 Movies You Need To See This Summer

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2"

Niko Tavernise / Columbia Pictures
Release Date:
May 2

Why to see it: Flashbacks to Sam Raimi's jam-packed "Spider-Man 3" came to mind when multiple villains were announced in the sequel; however, director Marc Webb assured fans this wouldn't be an issue. And it doesn't seem like it.

Very positive early reviews — out a month ahead of the film's US release — make us confident Andrew Garfield's return as the web-slinger will be well worth it as the sequel is expected to touch upon an iconic scene from the comics.

Action aside, the on-screen chemistry between real-life couple Garfield and Emma Stone is reason to head out.

But then discussion on boards wouldn't be so interesting anymore :o

It's too early at this point JOE! The audience reaction thus far has been extremely postive as it's 88% with 150,000 votes (It's not even out in the US/Canada and others yet) for it will go up. After a year it generally goes down by 3-5% so when all is said and done I think the score will be 86%ish which is higer than SM2 (80%) and ASM (79%). Again North American audiences might be more meh on it but we will see in the next few weeks/months. Still, I remain optimistic both the GA and Fans will consider it the best Spidey flick though fans he really, love SM2 so it will be a real challenge! :)

Also, The Joker while he is a great poster, isn't the be all end all! It's not like his opinions always match fan or GA overall views. He doesn't like TDKR but that movie is like on the top five CBMs!

I don't even look at the audience reaction... It's all, "ZOMG that movie was 10/10!" people mixed in with, "that movie sucked, no where near as good as MOS... 0/10".

I look at the critics and that's it. 75% is good right now.

TASM 2 is my favourite spider-man movie and it might be my favourite comic book movie, I still have to watch it a few more times though to decide that. There were some things other movies have done better but overall I thought it was a great movie. Also don't let something stupid ruin the movie for you, like if you don't like a characters design or something just get over it, I remember I hated the first movie when it came out because of the Lizard design and because I loved the Raimi trilogy. I realised that was a stupid reason, watched it again and really enjoyed it.
