Killian's plan and motivation were completely different and much better than Riddler's(which was better than Electro imo). Killian/Mandarin is actually one of the most underrated villains in CBM,he was great.

Yeah,I don't get how people don't understand all those things the movie clearly showed.

Even that isn't true. Killian's Mandarin scheme started as a way to cover up the glitches in Extremis that caused some of his patients to blow up. He came up with the Mandarin to take the heat off himself. Later he discovered he could exploit it further and use the Mandarin to generate sales of AIM Tech to the US Government. He'd install his own president loyal to him and control both sides of the conflict.

Some posters make a much bigger deal out of Tony snubbing Killian in Switzerland than the film does.

Agreed on all points. There really is little to no comparison between Aldrich and Max, or Aldrich and the Riddler.

I like it well enough to defend it from the constant flogging it sometimes gets around these parts. It's far from Marvel's best, but it's still better than a lot of other movies in the genre. It's around the same level as ASM 1, and far better than ASM 2.

Not only does Killian not resent Stark for spurning him all those years ago, he was actually GRATEFUL to him for it. That and the value he places on anonymity puts him on a completely different galaxy from guys like Dillon and Nygma, who were spurned losers who craved recognition.

His motivation barely had anything to do with Tony ignoring him lol. Max was sad b/c Spider-Man forgot his name, in the biggest city in the world, based off a 45 second interaction. Such evil, wow.

But nah, he didn't hate the webhead cause he forgot his name, he hated him cause people cheered for Spider-Man against that electric freak after a sniper shot at him, but 'Lectro forgot Spider-Man said "My pal Max, don't shoot him" less than a minute ago.

Yes I know that has the movie only got a 53 on RT and made the least of any of the sm movies but to me like 90% of the complaints about asm2 are just wrong or blown way way out of proportion or even things you could say about ever sm movie that has been made. I will never in a million years understand the hate that asm2 gets make zero sinces.

I love how these discussions eventually end up turning into a debate about wich movie had better RT rating. It´s like people aren´t even allowed to think for themselves. If from those 200 critics 50% say the movie is bad, then it´s oficially bad, and whoever thinks otherwise is wrong. I actually enjoyed TASM2 more than TDW, and i couldn´t care less if some middle aged stranger from i don´t no where agrees or not with me.

I don´t know these people. I don´t know the people who vote. I don´t know how smart they are. I don´t know how biased they may or may not be. I don´t know if they´re being honest. I don´t know if they were paid to vote in a certain way. I don´t even know if they exist. To me these are just numbers in a website. I pay more attention to my opinion and to the opinion of those i know than to the opinion of strangers.

This is so true, excellent post. I hate it when people bring up Rotten Tomatoes scores or critics reviews as if they are complete and total fact to try and change your opinion on a movie. At the end of the day, a movie critic is just another person forming an opinion on a movie. Like you, like me, like anyone else. Their thoughts and opinions are no more valid than anyone else's. I'm not going to totally change how I feel about a movie just because "look, all the critics hated it!!" My opinion is what matters to me and it's just that. An opinion. I agree that green goblin and doc ock where better villains but I hear a lot of talk about the tone of the movie being all over the place when it is not. I hear a lot of talk about the movie being to cheesy when ever sm has been just has cheesy and sm 1-3 are maybe even more cheesy. I hear a lot of people say that AG's peter is a jerk and that sm is annoying when for the first time ever sm acts like sm in a sm movie and when he didn't act like a jerk at all. Not all but like 90% of the hate is just out not true or way way over blown by people. ASM1 and 2 have a better love story, better more talented actor playing spider man, better web swing so there are things that asm1 and 2 do much better then sm 1-3 but people cant give it creadit for those things it dose while. I hear a lot of people saying to many subplots and things going on but there really is not that much going on besides peter trying to get over his promise to gwens dad and there relationship. SM3 has way way more big problems and has way way more things going on then asm2 but you would never know that by the way people react to this movie.
