Just wanted to give my thoughts on the news. Honestly, I am ok with it. TASM2, for me, was the greatest incarnation of my favourite CBM character. Having said that, it's obvious that, with continued meddling by Sony, the other subsequent movies (SS, Venom, TASM3) would have just downright sucked. I think it's time for our favourite webslinger to go back to Marvel. According to me, he had a great run at Sony but it's time to move on to bigger and better things.
And another thing. They could not have possibly found an MJ as likeable enough as Emma Stone for TASM3. TASM2 luckily didn't leave that many strings attached and was a complete enough film. The parents storyline got hammered out, Gwen died, there was a beautiful montage of Peter getting over her and continuing his responsibilities. So, at the end of the day, if TASM3 doesn't happen, I am cool with it. Plus, we are getting more Spidey anyways so how can that be a bad thing?
