If something were to go through, I really hope we at least get some kind of farewell from Marc and Andrew (& maybe even Avi if he's out too). :csad:

I say forget Marc, but I'd love for Marvel to give Andrew another role.

Why's that?

Because TASM2 was a massive disappointment and the email leaks show that Sony is well aware of it. A retool seems to be in order. They can maybe justify keeping Garfield around (unless he has burned his bridges with management like some rumors say), but Webb almost certainly has to be done.

Daltonio, if you're reading this, I want to know that I appreciate your attention, but you can't change the forum like this.

So, I'm just going give you one chance to walk away and stop this vigilante nonsense.
I don't know who you think you are, harryoscop, but you aren't the police. You can't just go around accusing people of things like being a vigilante. *coughs and glances around nervously* Especially me of all people, that's just.... crazy! :sus

I don't know who that guy is that was caught on the security tapes, but whoever he is... I must say, he looks like pretty badass. ;)

As much as I love Andrew, I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. To go from being Spidey to just about any other character would just feel like a huge step down, so if they don't let him come back as Peter then I'd rather he just stay away from Marvel.

Though I do like WGP's idea of he and Tobey having some kind of cameo appearance.

I don't know if Andrew Garfield was ever really "FIRED." It seems more like he has to be let go because he doesn't fit into any of the studio's plans... they either reboot with Marvel, or reboot without Marvel.

Don't play games with me Daltonio! I know it was you! you don't like the way the police handle things around these forums. you don't think justice is being served! so you decided to take the laws into your own hands and punish any trolls you come across.. I'd do the same thing, but the difference between you and me? I'm a law abiding citizen, who lets the police do their job. you? you're a crazy vigilant who decided you was going to make a difference on these forums, whether the mods liked it or not. you got guts kid.. I'll give you that. but this isn't the right way to handle things around here.. Harry; out.

Ah right. Yeah I figured that, I just thought some new info had cropped up which really sealed their fate.

I'm curious as to who you'd cast for a live-action "adaptation" of TSSM, especially if you'd have Weisman map out the franchise. :cwink:

I'm not really up on younger actors, so I haven't put much thought in it. I look at the casting threads and a few things look interesting. Bryan Cranston as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin would be cool.

I would love a Spider-Man netflix series only in addition to Spider-Man films. The main films would be all about Spider-Man and such (that's where the good special effects and action would take place) and the show could be about the Daily Bugle or something. Extend the universe.

I'd have the Netflix series be about Spider-Man. It could be like a live action Spectacular. And look how Whedon handled Buffy. But Spidey would still get theatrical solo movies. They would be more events, like the Sinister Six and the Night Gwen Stacy Died. And it seems Infinity Wars is tailor made for giving Pete the symbiote. I just think of all the great things that could be done with Spider-Man if Marvel had creative control.

Whatever the case, I just want Spider-Man in the MCU.

It's all.....part of the plan

When the ***k is this summit happening!? I want answers in 12.7 seconds or someone is getting fired!

Just imagine this happening once Leapfrog (Andrew) runs into Spidey:

*sighes*

is it even worth discussing?!

Where's your proof? Where's your proof that he could have in anyway joined the MCU as Leapfrog. No fan loves Andrew, it's an objective fact due to rotten tomato scores and the clear misdirection of Sony's awful franchise. Same crap different year mate. The whole thing just stinks of cheap plot contrivance, how could Andrew possibly be leapfrog? Where's the emotional payoff? Unless Sam Raimi was directing it I really couldn't see it.

I don't trust Garfield, once bitten, twice shy, three times stupid as they say!! I can't tell if it's sarcastic or not, but regardless it's just not funny, leapfrog could not handle 3 more bad movies.

Just makes me want to :barf:, it really does. I have so much respect for you Harry but after that I'm not sure, Andrew Garfield as leapfrog? Come off it.

It's not a matter of when... it's a matter of where. It's taking place below the sewers of NYC among the mole people.

Lizard confirmed for reboot villain. I'd actually love for them to have another crack at the Lizard one day, maybe as a side villain.
