Sony would have walked in her room with a bucket of symbiote, drown the spider in it, electrocute it, then have a rhino stomp on it.

Then walk out of your house with the hands opened expecting a billion dollars to fall in their hands.

I bet Avi likes to scare small children because that's what Venom would do.

I'm just making sure. One of the leaked emails said Andrew was fired right? Because of what he said about the producers and not attending some Sony thing?

It was a rumour, there's no proof any actual leaked email saying that he was sacked.

He did say things about the studio in the one interview about how the movie was great, but then they intervened. I could get behind the studio being pissed at him, getting fired seems very plausible. Serves him right for bad mouthing them, regardless if it's true or not. It's not professional. I doubt it happened though, it would have been confirmed by now IMO.

Andrew looks like a hobo these days. That's the man who traded his fabulous hair for an awful looking beard. I have no pity for him.

Yeah. Once again, it is only "assumed" that he was fired. The e-mails only tell us that Andrew Garfield may not return because he doesn't fit into any of Sony's future plans for Spider-Man movies. Even if they were pissed at him for not showing up to a meeting or badmouthing them, I don't think that would be enough to FIRE the main star of their franchise.

Sure it is. Why do you think every actor says the movie they're working on is the second coming of Christ? They know who signs their paychecks. Definitely a slip up on Garfield's part. It might have been harmless by intention, but the studio probably didn't see it that way.

Yeah, but he's dating Emma Stone. :o
You mean he's dating Mary Jane of the future Spider-Man Marvel reboot! :o

Well if they go with TASM3 and then recast Peter Parker... that would be really dumb. But I still don't think we have enough information to determine whether or not he was literally fired. Andrew may have signed for three movies but Sony is not obligated to use him for three movies. They would probably just not call him in to return to the next film or whatever. Seems like an issue of "semantics" more than anything.

Sony wants to reboot it seems, and that means giving up Andrew Garfield. So I don't think it matters if he pissed them off or not anyway.

Well Sony are going to have to say something eventually because Sinister Six has a November 2016 release date. So in August or September something is going to have to be said about that film.

Call me crazy, but I'm expecting we'll hear something about Spidey's future somewhere between Feb 2015 - Dec 2020.

Maybe.

You are probably right about that.

I've already said that I don't think Sinister Six is going to happen but I'll acknowledge that I was wrong when I see set pictures. I was wrong about Deadpool not happening.

I'd love to see them bring Spidey in the MCU. If the MCU isn't an option I'd rather see Sony reboot than continue on with TASM 3.
