Over 10 years now. Hard to believe.

And we still don't know when the next Spider-Man is going to come out. Batman Begins was 13 years after Batman Returns (and that's not counting Mask of the Phantasm). Spider-Man could easily best that.

Sad.

Times flies by though. It's already been five years since the first reboot was announced.

I have a feeling the deal might have already happened, lol.

July 9th isn't THAT far away. If we don't get anything by then, it's 100% not happening.

We wouldn't be hearing about S6, TASM3 or a "soft reboot" either though. Never say never.

Ehh not necessarily. They may have chosen to wait for SDCC to announce it to make it something special.

If no deal is made, then we would likely hear about that beforehand online. "Sinister Six goes into production with Andrew Garfield returning." Something like that.

The world may never get to see Emma Stone make her glorious return to the franchise as a slimy red psychopath while Peter gets advice from his secret agent Aunt May. :(

While discovering, the Burglar, that killed Uncle Ben, was really just a guy name Joe. :halo:

I was thinking that Peter would find his uncles killer while he had the Symbiote, and he would almost kill him, just like in the ultimate comics.

Yea I thought would they could do is have black suit spidey team up with Cat to break her dad out of jail. They rescue him, and spidey sees the star tattoo on his wrist, and goes crazy. He beats him up mercilessly, until he receives a vision of uncle ben himself. He storms off to a secluded building and tears off the suit

Yeah that would be awesome!! And Black Cat tries to hold him back and he just keeps going. Then he realizes what he's become, and he remembers Uncle Bens words when after Peter humiliated Flash and Peter then let's go. And as you said he gets the hell out of there and goes to the clocktower or graveyard or something to tear the suit off.

So what's up guy? I am sure nothing we still have had no real news lol.

Thanks guys, but you don't have to feel bad for me. I get that you guys are excited. Don't let feeling bad for me ruin that. :oldrazz:
Daltonio, if the deal does go through, please don't go away. We like having you here.
I'm sure I'll still be around. Maybe not as much, but you guys are too cool to just disappear on. :yay:

I am honestly not all that excited about the prospect of MCU Spider-Man like some. I'd prefer solo films where he's the main attraction, not a bit-piece. I don't think picking up bat and ball and rebooting all the time is the way to go. Bond never does it - they ride the journey out with their man. If a film is less favourably received, they simply make another movie with renewed focus. Case in point Skyfall following Quantum of Solace. I don't see why the same can't happen here, even though I'm a TASM2 fan. I think Garfield and Sally Field are excellent. I'd follow the new series but would feel a little jaded.
Yep, those are my thoughts exactly. That's one of the main reasons I didn't want Sony to make a deal in the first place. I prefer Spider-Man as a solo hero so I've liked that he's been off in his own little universe right now. It also makes everything seem more important, seeing as another hero can't just swoop in and help out. We're definitely on the same page though. And even if a deal was made to bring Spidey into the MCU, I don't see why they couldn't just bring Garfield into the fold and connect the two universes instead of starting over. I don't think the general audience would mind at all and it saves us from a total reboot. Like you, I'm just can't get excited about it. I'd watch, but I'd be pretty bitter about it.

Great episode, I hoped that in the TASM series they would've gone down that route.
I thought we already established a few months back that Uncle Ben's killer's identity was gonna turn out to be ... Dog the Bounty Hunter. :woot:

Peter never finding the guy actually made sense in the context of the film. He's grown as a person, so he has no desire for vengeance anymore.

It felt like another unresolved plot. They start by showing Peter looking for his Uncle Ben's killer, becomes Spider-Man, and gives up? What a tease. I know it was probably a set-up for future films (as Storm was discussing above, Sony was probably planning on giving him a connection to Black Cat/Felicia Hardy), but they could have done something a bit more satisfying. Have Peter find him, put him in jail, and maybe tell us the killer's name, or hint at some connection to Black Cat.

Yeah I see what you mean, but it hindsight it makes sense it terms of Peter's growth. But yeah, they needed to more work put into rather than just leaving it awkwardly hanging there.

Even when they tried to resolve it in the TASM2 video game, I really didn't like it... It was a waste.

Didn't Uncle Ben's killer turn out to be Cletus Kasady or something? lol

Well, Monday is the 19th. The supposed date of the 'Summit'.
