Well, there're news.

A few days ago, I read this: http://www.excelsior.com.mx/funcion/2015/01/19/1003364

If you don't speak spanish, the interviewer asked Andrew: "What about the next Spider-Man film? Peter Parker with a boyfriend?" He answered: "It would be illogical for the third film, if I say 'You know what? I think I like men."

Take it for what it is.

Ooh, that's interesting. I have a feeling Andrew is just as in the dark about the franchise as we are currently, however.

That show was the best thing ever when I was a kid, my first contact with something "Batman" related , I literally spent nights watching it with my dad, at first, I thought that "Batman" was just comedy stuff, until TAS, and damn..that cartoon was freaking awesome.

Sigh, being a kid was so awesome :csad:

Argh, I've said enough.

Same here. I used to watch the 60's show on Saturday mornings. The cliffhangers would always end with Batman and Robin in a death trap. Spend the time in between episodes wondering how they would get out of it. This one was my favorite. I had no idea how they'd escape, and it was awesome how Penguin was using Commissioner Gordon and O'Hara to kill them without even knowing they were:

BTAS, that show just defines Batman in his purest form. You can always keep reliving those great childhood times by still loving this stuff. I sure do. Nostalgia trip when I look at some of this stuff.

Same with the 90's Spider-Man cartoon. Who doesn't get nostalgic looking at this:

Any thing new today? Please tell me there is something new!!!!

Joker, stahp :csad: This is torture already.

You should watch it. It's kind of a divisive film for MCU fans, but I really like it. I'd give it a solid 8/10. Norton was a solid banner, and it's not overly long and drawn out, even if it takes a while for him to hulk out.
Cool, I'll have to get around to it one of these days and check it out finally.

Thanks for this Octavius. I really hope it means something, but you never know. Tobey was still answering questions about Spider-Man 4 just a couple days before the reboot was announced, so it's really hard to tell sometimes. Really hope you're onto something here though.

OMFG, what does people have against the ending? It was awesome and beautiful in the context of the movie. Honestly, the best in the CBM genre along with TDK. Fair point about the Rhino tho.

Because they made Gwen unlikable (which made me not care when she died) and her death was her own fault.

I don't get it either. I thought the ending was nearly perfect for the movie.

I have my issues with the film (I like it overall though, looking past the flaws) but I never hated the ending. In fact, I kinda theorized that it would end that way. And I liked the kid, it reminded me of the boy who collected spider man in a way. I do wish we got a stronger moment between Peter and Aunt May afterwards, but I still thought it was fine, more so now that the franchise may not be continuing.

Joker and Andrew would you guys just kiss already? jeez.

Temporarily truce mate, temporarily.

Being honest now, I do disagree with Joker a lot and I don't enjoy some of his attitudes, but I regret saying some stuff too. Thing is, heated arguments can be avoided by simply moving on from the discussion, there's no point in trying to convert someone's opinions, each to their own, when doing that, nobody gets super annoyed and personal attacks don't happen. Everybody gets happy. Period.

:toth

The reason why people didn't like the ending battle (Rhino epilogue) was because the trailers spoiled it! they made it out to be this awesome, intense battle in the trailers yet in the actual movie, it turned out to be the fricking ending. major copout on Sony's part.

Gwen unlikable?!? :wow: That's one of the first times I've heard someone say that, she was one of the best things about the movie and she was never unlikable to me.

Erm, if there's a person unlikeable in the franchise, that person isn't Gwen. Ask some of the haters. It's 50/50, she would've lived if Peter hadn't brought her to the bridge.

Me too, in fact, that was rather symbolic. That showed the difference that Spider-Man made in a kid's life, real life or not. It gave him strength to overcome his fears. And that applied to me as well when I started reading the comics when I was five years old. He's just that awesome.

Yea, sony is bad at trailers. They need to put a spoiler warning on the green card before their trailers

If you said that MJ (Raimi) was unlikeable, I would perfectly understand, but Gwen? Wat?

You have to be really evil to not like this woman :hrt:

 Definitely! It totally hit home, Because that's exactly what spiderman did for me as a kid, and that's why he's so important to myself and so many people out there. Maybe it was a little cheesy I suppose, but it was totally effective for me.

Yes, but Peter (tried) to force her away from the battle; he did everything in his power to stop her from following him, yet she showed up anyways, she sowed her own fate.

You should definitely watch Trilbee's video on why it didn't work:
Gwen's Death - Why It Doesn't Work: http://youtu.be/9sQeqSOxpD8

Well, what's Spider-Man without some cheese? Spider-Man Reign? :oldrazz:

I've watched that video before, couldn't disagree more with it, and I've written a long post about it at the SWH forums, gonna try to dig it up. Too lazy right now.
