Gwen, the most beautiful and perfect girlfriend in the galaxy.
I know that feeling mate

Gwen, the most beautiful and perfect girlfriend in the galaxy.
Well, what's Spider-Man without some cheese? Spider-Man Reign?![]()
The reason why people didn't like the ending battle (Rhino epilogue) was because the trailers spoiled it! they made it out to be this awesome, intense battle in the trailers yet in the actual movie, it turned out to be the fricking ending. major copout on Sony's part.
Gwen was fine in TASM1, but in TASM2 she was a little stuck up and self centered imo. she only seemed to care about what she wanted and her own feelings, while Peter chased her around like a sick puppy, looking for love.If you said that MJ (Raimi) was unikeable, I would perfectly understand, but Gwen? Wat?
![]()
You have to be really evil to not like this woman![]()
Cool, I'll have to get around to it one of these days and check it out finally.
Thanks for this Octavius. I really hope it means something, but you never know. Tobey was still answering questions about Spider-Man 4 just a couple days before the reboot was announced, so it's really hard to tell sometimes. Really hope you're onto something here though.![]()

MJ had the same problem in SM3; she didn't seem to care about anyone, but herself. (Wow, a lot of the same problems that SM3 had, plague TASM2 as well).

What? You're telling me that Gwen should've grabbed her dreams and throw them in the nearest trashcan because of a guy that doesn't know what he wants with his own life? If she will be a part of it?
He didn't chased her, he was the one who wanted to part ways. He was being immature for treating Gwen in that way again, she can't live with his insecurity, and she tried to help him. "Sorry Gwen, I can't." She needs to trail her own path, pursue her dreams and live her life. She can't wait for Peter's decision if he wants to be part of that life or not.
That's totally different from SM3![]()

Yeah, I noticed that. It's gonna be hard to keep track of all of them pretty soon.
Anyways, this is a bit off-topic, but just from you guys mentioning it... I'm just now realizing that I somehow never got around to watching The Incredible Hulk....![]()
OkAy, I see your point. but that doesn't change the fact that Gwen basically committed suicide for trying to do help Peter fight Electro.
So I watched TASM2 after 6 months yesterday. I am glad to say that my opinion of the movie has not changed. The Peter-Gwen scenes in particular represent the heart of the movie for me. One seriously underrated scene is the Oxford one wherein Peter comes to tell Gwen that the only thing he wants is her. The acting in that scene is fantastic. Seeing Andrew portray a wide range of emotions: confusion, sadness, and even that funny extemporisation ("My name is John Hopkins. I am from Harvard") was amazing, pun intended. The middle act imo was when the film was basically demonstrating the fact that this is not a Spider-Man movie with villains and tons of action, but an intimate, Peter Parker one.
Even though Marc Webb's direction is devalued by some, it can't be ignored that he managed to deftly direct the emotional beats of the film. I am ok with the script too actually; it was necessary for the villains to be comic-booky and "rushed".
And Dane DeHaan? I appreciated the guy much more in yesterday's viewing. He's sorta like the Anti-Peter, a cautionary tale to remind us of what Spider-Man could have been. The final battle, according to me, is right up there with the Train fight. And it's not because of the actual fight, it's because of what that fight represented (breaking the fabric that tied Peter and Gwen together)
For youuuu!! For youuuu!! Maybe I'm not moving on, I'll love you long after you're gone!!

Thought I'd share this: "Marvel: The Spectacular Spider Man" Title Sequence: http://youtu.be/dlQstZipkAg
I don't understandTip : To link a video properly, copy everything after the = and then use YT with [ ].
I have my problems with TASM2, but overall i find it very enjoyable to watch and the film has many wonderful moments that make me proud to be a Spider-Man fan.
Honestly, for the comic book genre, Spider-Man is the only character I love. Spider-Man's comics are the only Marvel comics that I think are truly worth reading. I couldn't care for any of the other characters, and same with their movies.
So you didn't watch the movie for 6 months? The movie has only been out for like 3 months or so on dvd so the last time you saw it was in theaters? What score would you give it? You ever going to buy it?
I don't understandt:
Yes, I was a bit disappointed in that. I haven't seen Interstellar so I can't comment on that part.On another note, was anyone disappointed that ASM2 didn't get an Oscar nod for best visual effects? I mean, even the RT consensus says that the visual effects are spectacular. Just because a film got bad reception, that doesn't mean that it can't even get an Oscar nod for its achievements.
Not to say anything against TWS (which I thoroughly enjoyed) but most of that film has practical effects and, in the final scene, you can notice the CGI-ness of the smoke effects a lot.
GOTG and Interstellar, on the other hand, wholeheartedly deserve that nomination.
Great song, makes me a little sad thinking about Gwen though. For youuuu!! For youuuu!! Maybe I'm not moving on, I'll love you long after you're gone!!

She saved/helped Spider-Man's life, again , is that a bad thing?
Without her, in the context of the movie, Electro would've transformed Peter into a Spider - Toast.
Na na I brought the blu-Ray. Just didn't have time to watch it. As for the score, it could go as high as a 9.5/10 for me. I'd settle for the middle value between 9 and 9.5, so it's an even 9.3 right now.

Woah, that's not very much of a difference, lol.I only saw the really really crapy one. I didn't see the one that came out a few years after that so the last one but form what I have heard it was much better then the another one I saw. Just looked the 03 one I was talking about got a 62 on RT I don't know how it got that high lol. The 2008 one got a 67.
