Monkeys on horses with guns? Color me impressed. :o

However, you have every right to feel the opposite. Just stating my opinion on the nom. :yay:

The mo-cap work is unparalleled and the CGI for the ape hair alone is better than anything in any Spider-Man film.

Again, your opinion. I personally think that the plot is predictable and based on an infinitesimal no. of movies I have previously seen. It was like the screenwriters were sitting on the throne and thinking, "Hey, you know what would be great? Getting another alpha male who stabs Caesar in the back, Lion King style?"

As for the visuals, I think that they are anything but pathbreaking. Even the worst shot of SM1 looks better than the best shot in this movie. But, I'd like to again reiterate that this is purely my opinion. You have every right to disagree.

That's not how physics work.. swinging in TASM2 was too unrealistic and cartoony, it was the exact opposite of TASM1's swinging scenes.

I don't care about physics, I care about coolness. :word: At least no lame crane scene in this one.

Insulting TASM1 won't change the fact that TASM2 was a critical and financial failure. TASM1 is a better movie anyways.

This doesn't look fake to you?

Not at all. In fact, I find them to be one of the best money shots of the entire film. I could also go real classy with this and start posting snapshots of TWS's last scene with the horrible smoke effects with comments like "are you legally blind" but I wont. :whatever:

I'm not talking about the CG, I'm talking about the physics.. Spider-Man doesn't have any weight in this movie, he's swinging at an impossible angle. notice how he pulls himself towards the grid piller in the second gif? yeah, that's not how physics work.

What the hell does TWS have to do with this?

The first one looks amazingly realistic and the second one looks better in the movie then it dose in gift form.

Some of ASM2 swinging did look pretty good, though.

The part where he jumps off the building and shoots out a web like 20 ft close to the ground, it really sort of jerks his body. It looked pretty realistic, tbh.

You asked me whether it looked fake. You didn't mention anything about the physics of it. Also, you quoted a post in which I was talking about the CGI of various movies. Therefore, based on 8th grade logic, I inferred that you were asking me about the effects.

As for the physics, a superhero movie requires just a teeny bit suspension of disbelief ya know. That's why we call em superheroes....none of this is supposed to be scientifically accurate. Any attempt to make it grounded and scientifically accurate has not worked out well, save for a few glaring exceptions (the TDK trilogy).

No it didn't, it looked horrendous! Gotta toe that party line.

I'm not talking about the film, i'm talking about the VFX. That said... You're opinion is wrong :o

I personally thought both POTA films and TASM films had fantastic CGI.

Also, re-watched TASM2 last night and where I stand on it hasn't changed at all. To me, it's the best Spider-Man experience I've had thus far.

On that alone, it'd be like a 8-9/10.

It may be questionable as a film, but as a comic book movie? Gold.

Yeah, I knew you was going to pull the "it's a CBM! it's not meant to be super realistic!" well here's the thing, the prequel to TASM2, TASM has more realistic swinging:
vUUtf.gif

He actually has a sense of weight; he's actually being pulled by gravity. not once did I see him impossible propel himself forward like 3 yards.. I just don't like how Spidey somehow became Gravity-defying-Man in TASM2, when it clearly established in TASM1, that Spider-Man DOES in fact obey the laws of physics.
But then again, that's just One; of the many inconsistencies in TASM2.

Ok if you say so. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has the best looking CGI I have ever seen. Happy? My opinion is totally wrong! There always has to be a "right" opinion. In fact, the definition of opinion is only this: the view of one is fact. So congratulations.

Ok....what's your point actually? I like it, inspite of the many, ahem, as you put it, scientific inconsistencies in it. Honestly, it's miles better than ASM1 for me, despite its, according to you, cartooniness. Maybe I just appreciate it as a work of art rather than something that I have to scientifically analyse in order to disparage.

Still doesn't clear your original point though. You mentioned it being fake. How exactly is it fake? Is it a forgery of something we have seen before? Is it a sham?

Don't stray from your original claim, Ms. Osborn. You wanted to demonstrate the fakeness of it all. Instead, you are arguing about its scientific accuracy.

Here, lemme give you an example. Let's say that Harryoscorp can fly on earth. Would that claim be fake or would be a gravitational anomaly?

When I said it looked "fake" i meant that it looks physically impossible. but otherwise than that, the CG looks amazing.

Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man is a masterpiece; it's the best Spider-Man movie ever made! :D

Not even gonna bother with a reply since you just said that the CG looks cartoony a couple of posts back:whatever:. Pick a side, Mr. Osborn:oldrazz:

It's getting a little ugly in here, so here's a puppy:
