Not overrated. But I think they've got higher percentages because they're in the MCU, and that means that they are not judge as regular films. In fact, they're part of something very big. So I think, a reviewer qualifies the franchise, and not just the film. And I never talk about a conspiracy.

We can start all over, if you like. Peace.

That's a wild accusation especially since it's all conjecture.

It's never been insinuated by critics or in articles that the MCU movies get preferential treatment or favorable reviews just because it's MCU.

Two winks versus X number of puking smilies, I think your belly is in more danger than my eye right now, but thanks for the concern. It's nice that you care about my eyeball :oldrazz:

Trust me you're not my worst enemy. You're not even an enemy. I have no enemies here. Just a small handful of people I don't get along with. But again thanks for showing your soft side. It's a rare sight.

Not true, you used to puke as well. Two problems for ya.

And ugh, you're being so cheesy. Makes me want to :barf:

:toth

Guys, you sound like I said someone is a murderer.

I honestly think that hate a movie is irrational, because at the end of the day, it's just a bad movie. I know, we can love one, we can be inspired by one, but a bad bad very bad movie does not hurt you. I think you do hate a film, if you don't appreciate it as a what it is, a film. Just my thoughts.

When people (or at least me) say hate with regards to a movie, it's obviously not the kind of hate you're talking about like if you say you hate a person, or hate something truly awful like murder, or rape. Same as like when you say you love a movie you're not talking about the same kind of love you feel for a friend, family member, or partner.

Hate as in as much you can really dislike a movie. Does this make sense?

But if you look at back when the MCU was in it's infancy and not even known, the likes of Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk (a mere 67%) were not scoring huge meaty scores critically. Like we mentioned earlier, 3 years later, post Avengers, and Iron Man 3 only scores 5% more than 2 did. And the general consensus is that 3 is much better than 2 so it makes sense. Same as how Thor 2 is seen as weaker than Thor, and it scored much less than Thor did critically. So I don't think any favoritism is being applied here.

We can start all over, if you like. Peace.

I appreciate that

Btw anyone noticing how popular the Doc Ock name is around here lately? I think you're the third active Ock related user name we have here now. Not that I'm disapproving. The tentacled one has always been my fav Spidey villain for many reasons.

Well, you did said bad stuff about Marvel, so it's basically a murder around here. Not for me tho, I don't really mind it, I mean - I don't care about it, but most folks do, so...

You people are so desperate to defend ASM2 to speak nonsense about the MCU as always...Spider-Man is my favourite fictional character EVER,but that doesn't make ASM2 a better movie in my eyes, only WORSE. The MCU movies actually made me LOVE characters I didn't give a **** about up until a couple years ago. The general audience loves those movies, fans are mostly happy and you objectively can't say the same about a movie like ASM2.
Just to be fair, it's not only the fans of TASM who use those kinds of comparisons. I constantly see the people who hate the films judging them based on the MCU films & the Raimi films as well instead of on their own merits. It comes from both sides. :oldrazz:

Anyways, it's nice to see people around here having such a civil debate. It seems that we can't even go one day without some kind of argument between the Spidey fans sometimes.

I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've used that smiley since it was created here last year.

Ah Andrew, I thought you'd love a bit of cheese, being a fan of TASM 2 and all :halo:

Yeah, I noticed that. It's gonna be hard to keep track of all of them pretty soon. :funny:

Anyways, this is a bit off-topic, but just from you guys mentioning it... I'm just now realizing that I somehow never got around to watching The Incredible Hulk.... :wow:

Actually, my name is Octavio. My ex-girlfriend call me Octavius :D And I started to like Doc Ock with The Superior Spider-Man. Until that, I didn't like him so much.

It's kinda quiet around here tho, probably because it's late in the US. I can read one hatin' post from just one guy, not thousands.

The Spidey Fans Vs Spidey Fans thing cooled down.

I like it.

Doesn't help that there's no Spider-Man news.

Will Spider-Man be a continuation with Sony, reboot with Sony or reboot with MCU?

Will S6 happen?

You should watch it. It's kind of a divisive film for MCU fans, but I really like it. I'd give it a solid 8/10. Norton was a solid banner, and it's not overly long and drawn out, even if it takes a while for him to hulk out.

Well, at least you admit it.

Just as long as a bunch of Joker usernames don't start springing up :joker:

I loved Superior Spider-Man. Killing Spidey and stealing his body and his life from him for 2 years, that has to be the biggest nastiest feat any Spidey villain has pulled on him.

Well, at least you admit it.

Admit that I've used it very sparingly yes.

I like me a bit of cheese, too. After all I love the campy 1966 Adam West Batman show.

No, Japanese Spuser-Man will be the new destiny of the license.

No Sony, No MCU and no S6.

It's funny, here in South America as in Spain, everyone says the deal between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios is done. But there, in the U.S, you don't think it's possible.

I think it's very very possible :oldrazz:

(I'm actually convinced it's all done and good, but I'm probably jumping the gun there. I'll pay for it later if the deal doesn't go through)

I don't even know what to say on these boards anymore.

Are there any actual news?

That show was the best thing ever when I was a kid, my first contact with something "Batman" related , I literally spent nights watching it with my dad, at first, I thought that "Batman" was just comedy stuff, until TAS, and damn..that cartoon was freaking awesome.

Sigh, being a kid was so awesome :csad:

Argh, I've said enough.

Well, there're news.

A few days ago, I read this: http://www.excelsior.com.mx/funcion/2015/01/19/1003364

If you don't speak spanish, the interviewer asked Andrew: "What about the next Spider-Man film? Peter Parker with a boyfriend?" He answered: "It would be illogical for the third film, if I say 'You know what? I think I like men."

Take it for what it is.
