Hey, a little off the subject; but, if you desire or in need of something good to read, check out my opening scene of The Sinister Six. :woo:

Thanks guys...

I find it interesting that sites are still reporting Spider-Man being in Infinity Wars despite Sony's denial.

How would you guys feel if the S6 movie was still happening but under Marvel's control, and it served as a reboot of the series?

Raimi's style is cheesy, but it's a more earnest cheese. It's like the silver age comics. The little montages of New Yorkers reactions and the spinning news paper headlines were great touches.

And the tone was consistent. Plus in the first two films the emotional beats were fantastic. The finale scene of the first film at the cemetary with Elfman's score still gives me goosebumps.

ASM2 the tone was all over the place and it just had this cynical "my **** don't stink" vibe.

Oh in the heck was the tone of asm2 all over the place? People saying that the tone was all over the place is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard in my life! What the tone was all over the place because spider man achurlery made jokes for once? I swear people act like the movie had some get killed and then switch 2 seconds latter to some one doing a silly dance or something. People act like this movie is an TMNT 90's cheesy or something crazy. This complete makes no sinces but I shouldn't be surprise because like 75% of the complaints agest this movie make no sinces what so ever. There where pletty of emotional beats in asm2 such has when gwen dies and the that's my boy speech between peter and ant may.

It wasn't the Spidey quips. It was more the cheesy one liners coming from Electro, the stereotypical German mad scientist monitoring Electro, Paul Giamatti acting like a cartoon character and Max Dillion talks to himself in a very cartoonish way. In this same movie we have a girl falling down a clock tower and hitting her head against the concrete. I'm not saying having light hearted moments is a bad thing, I just think they over did it and it became incredibly cheesy and downright stupid.

You said it's not like someone died and then 2 seconds later someone is doing a silly dance?

Gwen dies, very shortly after we see Rhino acting like a goofball in the streets.

Wasn't the Sony denial reported by Cosmic Book News also reported on the front page?

I'm not sure, nor do I think it really matters. Even if this denial is true, it doesn't mean anything since Sony is not obligated to report any deals at this time.

Lots of studios deny things that Are true

They didn't wanr to be like, lol yeah MCU confirmed

Electro one had like 1 one liner in like the whole movie though the its my birthday line. Rihono is supposed to be a cartoon goff ball. I don't see how the scientist was cheesy at all and the I am electro line was badass. The max talking to me self was cheesy but that was like 2 minutes out of a 130 minute movie and not any worse then any thing else in the other sm movies. I don't really see how any of those things are different then any thing in sm 1-3 or asm1.

This. That was it. Other than the "light my candles" quip, he did not make cheesy one liners or puns. And what do people expect from Rhino? He's a dim-witted, boastful thug that Spidey takes down within minutes. That's what we got.

That is genius

It's not just the one liners that made him a ham. It was the goofy Max Dillon portrayal, the cheesy "He lied to me. He shot at me" theme music he had etc.

People also forget how little Electro is in the movie, too. In his first scene with Spider-Man he is defeated and captured. Tucked away in prison until the finale when Harry comically busts him out. He was basically an action plot device that served no significant purpose to the story's theme, or Spider-Man's growth as a character. What did Peter learn from his encounter with this guy? Nothing.

As for Rhino, Rhino has carried multiple comic book issues on his own without being caught on his first fight with Spider-Man. Same with Electro. That goes for the cartoons too. The brilliant Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon gave each of them an episode to themselves as chief solo villain. Just because TASM 2 reduced them to joke villains who were easily beaten first time around doesn't mean that's how pathetic they really are.

My ideal Amazing Spider-Man 3...

It'd take place almost a year after ASM2.

Peter would be attending Empire State University and rooming with Flash Thompson who had returned from a tour of duty having lost his legs. His girlfriend is Betty Brant and upon seeing Peters photography skills gets him a better gig at the Daily Bugle

Peter has done his best to get over Gwen and has a more social social life with Mary Jane Watson, Vin Gonzalez and some other friends in his circle. While he's not ready to be romantically involved it seems clear that Mary Jane has an affinity for him

Harry Osborn still in Jail recruits the famed Hunter Sergei Kravinoff who is a vein and powerful hunter who prides himself on being the pinnacle of human strength and cunning, into hunting Spider-Man and killing him. Kravinoff refuses at first but upon being manipulated he agrees to prove he is better than this Spider.

At university one of Peters tutors is Miles Warren who like a few others is enthralled by the power exhibited by Spider-Man. There's a minor sub-plot about him and a small group of a Scientists almost obsessed with discovering how he became so agile and strong and who seek to replicate this to improve human frailties.

This is a brilliant idea! It's strange that Warren hasn't even been mentioned in any of the films yet. (Though that subplot regarding studying Spidey's abilities and using them to improve human weakness was already done by the Lizard and Green Goblin).

I really, really, really! want them to adapt the Symbiote storyline in this series! Andrew is such an emotional actor, it would be perfect for him!

I think if sony goes forward with their current franchise, they need to AT THE VERY LEAST find writers and a director that fit their vision. Raimi didn't fit venom, and Marc Webb didn't fit electro IMO. (Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Foxx performance, disliked how he was handled.)

I want everyone to know, that I would take TASM3 adapting the Symbiote storyline over Spidey joining the MCU.
Andrew was practically born for this storyline!

I see what you mean, but I just enjoyed Electro in general. He needed more development for sure, but it's the most I've been excited by an onscreen Spidey villain since Molina's Ock.

I'm not directing this specifically at you, but I've never quite understood this notion because it's been expressed by multiple posters on here.

Even if you go back to TASM #41 and his return a couple of issues later (I think #43), it's pretty clear that Rhino is the polar opposite of a street thug that is taken lightly by Spidey.
