Actually, I can tell you from seeing the sizzle reel at the Untold Story evet, he doesn't appear 'shy' in any way in this film, he's a contempory 'geek' who has trouble talking to girls, that's as far as his shyness goes. In fact I'd convey it more as 'awkwardness' what this Peter Parker gives off not shyness. He stands up to Flash before he even gets bit, and gets beaten up for it.

I was at the Untold Story event (Garfield was at my theater- seems like a cool guy). Peter's scene with Gwen reflects shyness. You can also call it awkwardness- same difference. But Peter clearly wouldn't have even spoken to Gwen had he not been outted by Ben.

As for the Flash thing- being shy doesn't mean you're a wimp. You can be shy and yet still stand up and do the right thing (I say this from personal experience).

edit: and I didn't comment on the rest of the post because theres no point, each movie have their differences from the material, this one we have yet to see how that fares. If they were going to rip it straight from the pages then why not just give us the bloody book to read?

I agree to a point. Sure this film shouldn't be a word-for-word retelling. But there are also many successful movies that are accurate to the source material (Harry Potter/ Twilight/ Hunger Games) and even great ones (Silence of the Lambs/ Shawshank Redemption/ Green Mile).

And what always gets me regarding the reboot is that you have folks cheering Webb on for the very things that they trash Raimi over.

This film will blow away Raimi's version by all accounts. The old ones are cheesy upon recent viewings and Garfield just seems like a better fit.

Yeah, I have started to notice that Webb and Sam fans start to criticize each other about their criticizing. It is true that they have made some changes:

Almost everyone works in Oscorp(Dad, Gwen, Dr Connor, Norman( I am pretty sure))

Sam:
No Gwen

Nobody CBM have copied exactly from the comic book source yet. So just deal with it. But like my sig said: A movie stands on its own. The "changes" aren't important - the quality of the film is.

I don't mind some changes in Webb's but I asked myself why do I still upset about the changes in Sam's? There was something missing in Sam's, I don't know how to answer that exactly, maybe because of the core of Spider man's/PP character didn't exist in there. . Everytime when I was watching SM1-3 I always will feel like "Oh that's not Spidey/PP/ MJ that I know and love."

Sorry I don't know how to explain that. I am hoping that someone can explain that for me.

The bold has already started in the forum. And there have been rumblings already with comparing Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone, even though they play different characters, lol.

Lol yeah I have noticed that too. Well, I can understand that too, it is really important to notice that how they approach and handle their roles.

No they arent. I saw it somewhere in the internet...about the guy said that he was a very lucky person to have an amazing opportunity to work for TASM cuz they hired an entire new cast and crew.

Same. Considering how he's an entirely CG creation, the effects for him are EXCELLENT.

God I love this screen cap. Everything looks so tense. Spidey looks goooood man t:. I love how thin the stripes are down the arms and the blue on the gloves. Just works.

I am not complaining.......okay maybe I am but I was trying to say there was something wrong with Raimi series and I dont know what it is. Yet I am okay with the changes in Webb's.

It probably is. Marc Webb said they were continuously working on the Lizard effects way up until release date.

LOVE the arm/hand regrowth scene... frickin fantastic!

The tail (which I absolutley LOVE about the villain the Lizard... even prefer it over the Scorpion's tail) is only so so though.

But wow... talk about (here comes that dirty word to some LOL)... a "darker" more adult version .... simply... *wow*
