Well he's going to be in The Great Gatsby (an adaption of a book by the legendary writer F.Scott Fitzgerald) with a little actor called Leonardo DiCaprio and Dunst just starred in Melancholia which was for the most part well received and got the Best Actress award at Cannes.

So I'd say they're doing pretty damn well.

well they're off my radar so I couldn't care less what they are doing.

avi arad and the producer at the japanese expo said this movie is a love story.
ah man, again?

I'm not worried. Nothing so far has indicated that we should be worried. Does the trailer or synopsis make it seem like that's the emphasis? Nope.

Besides, Gwen Stacy is in it and it's a Spider-Man movie.

There's has to be a love story.

Well, that's kind of a good thing. Some of the most memorable and iconic moments from the comic involve the loves of his life (Does "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" ring a bell"?)

Actually Cameron was around during that idea. Before the Electro/Sandman treatment, some writer presented a treatment called "Doc Ock" where he was the main villain and it was sort of like '89 Batman where the villain was the main attraction of the movie. While Cameron was on board during this time, he mentioned how he wanted Arnold to play the villain. The idea was scrapped which gave Cameron the chance to create his own script which was Electro and Sandman with completely different names from the comics.

Cameron never bothered with anything that was written before he came aboard. He always writes his own material and started fresh with his own scriptment.

I'm assuming your getting your info from wiki or similar internet sites. I've never seen a quote from his that said he wanted Arnold to play the villain. Especially since Doc Ock wasn't even featured in his scriptment.

there are better ways of saying that and it only takes a moment to say your family is doing well. it doesn't take much time or give any private details. manners don't cost, they're free.

not really for you to say. How do you know the interviewer wasn't being a dick? or that they'd previously agreed to stick to film related questions only for the guy to bring up personal matters?

I kinda liked maguire and dunst and then they grew to big for their boots. what exactly are doing now?

bet they aren't sitting at home on the internet *****ing about how actors they don't like don't give interviews the way they think they should.

You seem really eager to jump to conclusions and vilify Maguire. But whatevs.

Funny, I actually like Kirsten Dunst a heck of a lot more now than I ever did when she was in the Spidey movies. She was awesome in Melancholia, which is something I haven't even thought she was capable of since the Interview with a Vampire Days.

I don't see a problem with this. Gwen and Peter fall in love...we know that it will happen already. From what I have seen there will be much more to the movie and I am not worried about a mushy affair.

Does Sony even care about this movie? Almost all of the stuff we've been seeing lately is merchandise. & it's Disney who's in control of the merchandise, not Sony. :/

I'm sure they care. They are not doing well money wise so I've been told. I am expecting them to have another trailer with Ghost Rider and then a full on marketing blast til July.

Thanks a lot for spoiling part of the movie for me! :argh:

I've heard it from other sources outside of wikipedia as well. You forget, I did post that during Wikipedia's "black out", lol.

Cameron was hired only as a director because they had that Ock idea, but they did give Cameron some writing credit on that idea at the beginning as you said.

I'm starting to not know whether they do or don't...

:o No one should be thinking this or worrying over this. We'll get a trailer when we get a trailer.

Stop thinking about the damn thing and go on with your lives guys and girls until they release a trailer

Sony care. They've thrown good money at the making of it. But there may be caution in how they sell it - asking the fans what they want to see in another trailer and such.
