My bet is on them going the Ultimate route, with the chemical web fluid being an unfinished project of Peter's father that Peter finishes and creates the delivery system for.

Do you remember the red flashlights of the web-shooters?) I thought, it was an awesome move from Marc & co, since never before in Spidey-verse (comics/tv/movies) his web-shooters were able to light up)

how smart will Peter be portrayed in Amazing?

is he still going to be smart, a science/tech geek?

will he still be an amateur photographer?

He will build his web shooters

Fully mechanical. In the Comic-Con footage, you see Peter testing a webshooter with it set up on a workbench, not wearing it, and web shoots out. Also in the footage we get a close up on the web shooter and see a digital readout on it, most likely showing how much web fluid is left.

I can't see anything BUT a teenager when I look at the guy. He looks extremely young. Shouldn't be hard to believe at all.

Maguire and Dicaprio have been BEST FRIENDS since before either of them were famous. Before they hit puberty, really. Hell, it's not just them.

Dicaprio, Maguire, Kevin Connolly, Ethan Supplee, and Lucas Haas have all been best friends before any of them were famous and now they are all famous. It's like the real life version of the tv show Entourage. They all met while auditioning for roles when they were kids, and now they run Hollywood.

Oh look, it's Maguire(center) and Dicaprio(right) as kids, hanging.

Sorry for the rant, but there friendship is one of the coolest things about Hollywood. How awesome would it be if you and all your best friends became famous acclaimed actors? Well Dicaprio and his friends did just that, and I could not just idly stand by while someone so confidently claims that they aren't best friends. They are. More so. They are like brothers. And Dicaprio played a big factor into Maguire getting the role of Spidey. Not something everyone knows about.

I remember in the 90s when Leo's gang got dubbed the P***** Posse by the press for their partying, drinking and chasing women.

Dicaprio, Maguire, Kevin Connolly and Lucas Haas where the core members.

Nope, I remember kids that looked older than him when I was in high school. One time I mistook a guy on the football team for an assistant principal because he was wearing a dress shirt and tie for game day.

So I just read the James Cameron treatment. I actually liked it...except Peter curses and says MOTHER******! And MJ and him make love on top of the Brooklyn Bridge...for some reason I think that scene would translate well in reality.

Also...Electro and Sandman are villains. They didn't seem bad at all overall. They both got character development.


But, glad Raimi took over. Still, I bet that movie would've also been great aside from the fact that Peter cursed.

I think that's actually pretty interesting. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Peter were to yell, "MOTHER ****ER" in a situation such as if someone just broke his arm. Other than that, no thank you.

I didn't know that Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire were the best of friends.

Agreed. He'll be in college if not graduating college in the next film, so I'm not worried.

I expect that they'll age him a bit for the next film so he'll be well established as Spider-man and perhaps has already faced smaller foes like Shocker.

He does. If I had any doubts about Garfield looking the age and part, they were all washed away with the first promo pic.
