Not just saying this to kiss a**, but Wu-tang > tbh

well, they are the greatest hip hop group of all time so your statement has no sucking up in it involved at all, just fact. You can't be a suck up if you're spitting facts.

The only thing that rivals Wu-Tang is Bone Thugz 'N Harmony, imo. But, yah...Wu-Tang is better than literally anything musically in the hip-hop/rap scene.

I'd actually go with Boot Camp Click before Bone but your last point is truth. the proof is in the pudding

No denying that. I actually met Method when I was 13 (:hrt:), and I spit him a couple lines of my own. I never rapped before that, but I was at a loss of words and looked to impress him. I was looking for the ":wow:" reaction but ended up with "". Needless to say though, I went home feeling like ":word:". (these smileys are pretty neat)

We got some Body Snatchers on the internet completely devoid of comedic emotions.

I have a fine sense of humor. I also understand the concept of character, plot and how going to far for a cheap laugh can cause inconsistencies in those.

Yea well let's wait until we see the movie and see that particular scene in context.

I never understand why no one does that. Within the flow of the movie, it may be funny, or may not be, but at least see the whole flick before dissecting pieces of it. Some stuff works better in context.

From the slums of shaolin wu tang clan strikes again!

Yes. because that one second of the goal post bending will surely cause character, and plot inconsistencies. Maybe if you believe it enough it will.

the RZA, the GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Ghostface Killah and the..M.E.T.H.O.D. MAN!

@I Am Legend..you read my mind lol

Jesus, some of you people are insane. Are yal seriously debating, not just less than 2 seconds worth of footage, but it's effect on an entire, 135 minute movie? Go outside. You have too much time on your hands.

No debating here sir. It's fact that it won't effect it. You'd be crazy to think that it would.

You can get away with some of the other stuff when the people don't know Peter. When the person seeing you do it knows you by name?

And I love how only the parts you decide matter, matter in a film. :woot:

Or you could go outside.

Finally got around to checking out (500) Days of Summer.

In short...great freakin' movie.

In long... Webb is masterful with his cinematography. Seriously, that whole movie was eye candy to me. His compositing shots were just awesome. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of memorable shots he establishes with The Amazing Spider-Man. There are obviously a slew of them in the trailers we've received.

Anyways, on a directing note, Webb is great at guiding the actors/actresses. The characters in (500) Days were very believable. I know some of it has to do with the writing, but it's the directors vision of what they want you to feel during each moment. The emotion that Webb is able to evoke is just awe-inspiring.

I know people have been having their doubts because Webb only has one movie to go off of. However, I don't really have any doubts. I think Webb does romance beautifully and it translates so well on screen. If anything, I'd be worried about his ability to direct action. However, the ASM trailers seem to put that to rest.

All in all, I think he is a great up and comer. Maybe a tall order. Maybe not. Either way, I think we're gonna be surprised with Amazing Spider-Man come July. I wish it had more hype behind it. Then again, maybe it's a good thing it doesn't. I'm starting to get turned off by TDKR because of insane people are going over it. So yeah...maybe it's good Spidey is an underdog this time around.

If I end up loving ASM, I'm going to start calling Marc Webb the anti-McG.

You mean more Internet hype? Cause everywhere I go I see spider man or see a tv spot for this movie. I was watching tv tonight and saw the Carl's jr spot twice in two hours. They been hyping the hell out of this movie. Even heard some kid yelling for spider man when he saw the cereal at the grocery store. I keep telling people here not to get it confused, the movie is hyped. Just cause you don't see everyone online blowing loads over it doesn't mean a thing. If that was the case, Scott pilgrim vs the world would've been a huge movie

lol so true. I knew Scott pilgrim wasn't going to bank. But it was a great movie.

It's a very dope movie. I love it. But based on the Internet hype you'd think it would've been the biggest movie that year. Or that the last two pirate movies would've flopped. Or that transformers dark of the moon would've flopped. Or that snakes on a plane would've been huge too. Or that cabin in the woods would've been one of the biggest movies of the year and biggest horror movies of all time.

Every now and then, we gotta take more stock in what we see in the world and not on our computers because a lot of times, it doesn't add up and when it comes to hype, you get to see a difference. Sony is doing their job with this flick. My cousin is a novice when it comes to comic book flicks. She saw the first three spidey flicks and is excited to see this too. She doesn't know all the ins and outs of the story or backstory but she saw the trailer, thought it looked good and wants to see it. Simple as that

I loved Scott Pilgrim but didn't see it in theaters. The trailers turned me off to it but it was a great piece of entertainment.

And maybe it depends on where you live in the world? I'm from Michigan and honestly I haven't seen anything for Spider-Man. Hardly any movie posters in the various theaters I go to. No trailers attached to any of the various films I've seen this year except for Underworld: Awakening. No T.V. Spots. Nothing.

And if I do hear anything, it's mainly how people are pissed that the film has a new cast...everywhere I look though, there is a ton of Batman hype. -_-

Yeah geography always does it I suppose. I'm in Maryland, really close to DC and I see him on tv, in stores, the posters in every movie theater I've been in the past few months and even in the freaking grocery store. I'm actually starting to get sick of seeing him lol

I can see that. I went to the AMC on Sunday to watch MIB3 and couldn't see any TDKR posters, but they had the Spidey 3D poster, the untold story poster, and a giant banner as you come up the escalators. Plus they showed a new trailer. I saw nothing TDKR related at all, and I looked because I'm a fan.

You guys want to trade? haha I would much rather see Spider-Man than Batman at the moment.

Even though Spider-Man and Batman are the only super heroes I really enjoy. haha

Hey what's with all this Wu Tang talk? Lets stay on topic shall we.

"I smoke on the mic like smoking Joe Frazier
The hell raiser, raising hell with the flavor
Terrorize the jam like troops in Pakistan
Swinging through your town like your neighborhood Spiderman"

:woot:

That's pretty weird...

Lets get back to some sort of topic shall we?
Whats your favorite scene so far in any trailer?

For me, its the cop scene. I love how fast he moves, so agile with grace. And the way he just smashes onto the Taxi and rolls onto the manhole, CGI or not I cant tell.

But out of any trailer, screenshots or anything.

2nd Trailer: That shot of Spidey sitting on his web in the sewer, so friggin comic-book and Spodey-pose like.
Best shot in all trailers IMO
